The gunman who massacred dozens in Las Vegas researched possible attack locations in Boston and Chicago, multiple senior law enforcement officials briefed on the investigation told NBC News.

Paddock also did online research on hotels around Boston's Fenway Park, a senior law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the matter told NBC News. Most hotels in the area, however, have an obstructed view of Fenway — or no view at all.

In addition to the Red Sox, Fenway Park regularly hosts large-scale summer concerts.

Our girl played Fenway this summer. Thank God he didn't go through with that. These mass shootings need to stop :ohno:

I'm so sad to say that I feared my surroundings a bit when I saw her at Fenway. I know the security was high, but it's always in the back of my mind.

I am that way aswell. I always have in my mind that something can happen when I attend concerts and festivals.

Yikes, I live and go to school in Chicago. This city's got enough problems, kinda glad it didn't happen here. No matter where it happened, it's still horrible.

It's sucks living with fear.. Like wtf, you go to a place to have a great time  with your friends and relatives but one can't fully enjoy the experience because you think a terrorist attack might happen at any moment :selena: and that kind of thinking will definitely increase now

This is life now ladies and gentlemen :emma:

Yeah but just think of how many hundreds of events there are taking place everyday. The odds of you dying at one of these is still really really small. Don't give into the fear too much.

Hands up to the sky, I'm about to fly!

At least we know we aren't alone! It is a shame, especially since these situations have been happening since beyond my time, but as @JustaMonster just said; we can't give into fear. I just keep the victims of these events in my thoughts.

Yeah seriously. Plus with all the problems surrounding Lolla evacuations can you imagine what might have happened? If nothing else I hope this makes them reconsider their emergency procedures.
