Some parts were really difficult to watch.

I really love it. It is not easy to show your true self to millions.

Thank you Gaga. I hope she gets better and better.

One more question.. when she was talking about Mariyln Monroe...Anna Nichole Smith.. then she said "who know who?".. who is she talking about? Amy Winehouse?

My first thought was Princess Diana  (who literally died being chased down by paparazzi) but I'm probably wrong.

Love the documentary. Watched it with my parents.

However, I think she has many people in her environment saying 'yasssh' to everything she does instead of some people suggesting other creative ideas. It looks like it's constantly 'Yes, Gaga, omg, best idea ever, yes'

I thought this but maybe that is why ARTPOP was a mess because her team back then was forcing her to do stuff she didn't want to do because they thought it was for the better? It felt like I was watching the female Michael Jackson, everyone around him praised him up when behind closed doors he was depressed and lonely.

Ireally liked the documentary, we’ve certainly never seen Gaga like this before. She’s such a strong woman!

That being said, from a filmaking point of view, after the Perfect Illusion part the documentary starts to become a little boring. They could have showed her recording Million Reasons and John Wayne, more of the thought process behind the Superbowl and tour... She could have talked about what happened with ARTPOP, Cheek to Cheek, etc...

But I get that it’s not her creation so it’s ok. I’m really proud of her!

I felt really strange watching this. I loved seeing the behind the scenes of a day for Gaga and that she is so strong for us fans. But the editing felt quite odd that it was not following.. was this about Joanne's meaning, her constant physical struggles.. I think the "effects of fame" part was not building up to anything. I repeat that I did enjoy but the editing made it feel quite incomplete for me

I agree, though I think this was like a. "fresh start" hence starting with Mark Ronson and not the sessions she had with RedOne before LG6 plans

Just finished the documentary and I really, really  loved it.

It really showed how multifaceted Gaga is. She's so real, honest and relatable. It really affirmed the opinion I already held of her, and enhanced it even more so. She truly is something special.

Amy Winehouse, a very close friend of Mark Ronson, that's why she's not naming her.

Okei, I have watched the documentary 3 times now.

I honestly thought it was a nice documentary. Maybe the editing was kind of weird, but anyway. This is the most transparent she has been since ARTPOP. A lot was left unsaid (especially what happened during ARTPOP), unfortunately, but I guess it has to do with rules or laws or agreements.

I don't know why everyone thinks she has been happier now, it felt quite the opposite. In one part of the documentary she is saying that she is stronger than ever, has no time for bullshit coming from men, and in another part she is crying because people leave her and she feels alone. She just sounded unstable.

With the documentary I also felt like she is actually doing what she wants and how she wants. Everything on Joanne was supposed to be the way it was, and she and her friends (not really calling it a team anymore, tbh) were happy with the products. It's just me and some fans who really didn't enjoy how low-effort it felt. But she knew that some of her original fans would not like the album or the Era, she asked that to herself in one part of the documentary.

The fibromyalgia part... While I believe that she might be going through some emotional pain, which also influences some body pain, the whole fibromyalgia part was a mess, especially the "doctor" talking about blood spinning to increase generation and stuff like that, like wth. What's the last step of the treatment, the sacrifice of black chickens? The whole diagnose for fibromyalgia is totally dependent on the patient, there's really no clinical test doctors can do to prove it's existence. It's kind of a discredited disease. But oh well, if those placebo treatments help with her pain, I guess it's better than nothing.

Also was it just me who felt like grandma Gaga was not really moved or didn't really understand Gaga's interest in Joanne? Gaga was like: "I will let you listen the song, if you feel offended or anything we can stop" and grandma just answered: "honey, it was 40 years ago". Like it just gave me the idea that she didn't really understand this whole interest in someone Gaga didn't even knew personally, which was exactly what I thought when I heard the song.

I was so thrilled to watch this documentary. I was here in GGD following her posts and threads during most of the scenes in the docu. From guessing who that cameraman following her around is for, finding periscopes for camden performance, the bennett show, the baptismal, the outfit she wore to visit her grandma. It felt like it filled in some of the gaps that were missing and showed me a glimpse of who and what she experienced during those times I remained as a fan following her here and social media.

I cried a lot during this docu. I understand how it feels when you know you are strong and resilient but at the same time the things that you really need is seen as a woman's weakness.

I love this docu so much. It makes me happy that it's in netflix and my mom who is not really Gaga's fan was watching it too.
