I dont think some of you realize how debilitating fibromyalgia is

Just from reading the posts on here, it seems like most of us are supportive of Gaga but some people seem to be more concerned about missing out on concerts and Gaga's reputation than how she feels.

We are incredibly lucky that Gaga is continuing to be a performer with the type of disorder she has. I don't have fibromyalgia but I suspected she had it back in 2012. I remember doing a lot of research and thinking to myself that I seriously hope this isn't what she has. Fibromyalgia, along with chronic fatigue syndrome and other similar diaorders, are honestly some of the worst disorders a person can have in terms of reducing the sufferer's quality of life. As most of you probably know by now, fibromyalgia waxes and wanes and flares up, which is what Gaga is experiencing now. However, sufferers never or rarely ever feel fully normal. They usually experience some level of pain or another symptom, like intense fatigue. Its a terrible condition that ends careers and there are no true treatments that can mediate the pain to a reasonable level for many. 

I cannot imagine what it would feel like to be in pain, that is sometimes severe, most of the time. I would feel so incredibly depressed and hopeless about life.

I am so sad that she suffers from this evil disorder. I keep thinking about her and I wonder how she copes with it.  I just hope that she becomes an advocate to raise more awareness to hopefully find a cure. I think we all just need to think about what she is going through and put things in perspective.

exactly, you can get a concert ticket refunded but she has to suffer for the rest of her life and she's one of the sweetest people to grace this planet

I get your point,but don't worry,Gaga has acces to the best medical help in the world,so she will be fine❤️

And also remember Gaga wouldn't want us to worry for her,she just wants us to continue and being happy,and I'm sure she will be okay again in a few days.

I think the more attention that is brought to the topic will help researchers, the general public and people who suffer from it understand it more, and hopefully lead towards finding a cure or some temporary help.

I think you might be overestimating how much can actually be done though. Sometimes it doesn't matter how much money you have, things just can't be treated very easily. She uses light saunas and gets her blood spun and re-injected into the sites of pain, but that is only a small and temporary fix. I'm sure she does other stuff too, but she will never feel 100% normal. And I doubt Gaga would take strong pain medication either, because pain medication is a huge problem for people who have addictive tendencies, and can make people spiral into addictions, which Gaga has experienced in the past. On top of all of that, it's not fun to have to have constant injections and therapy.

The fact of the matter is they can help to ease it to a degree, but it will always be there in the background, either subtly or majorly, and being rich can't fix it. Not yet anyway.

I'm not trying to diminish her suffering but there are MILLIONS of people with mental and physical health problems that also don't have a cure. At the very least she has the economical level to have access to the best of what there is to lessen her suffering while many others just suffer in agony with NOTHING to help them deal with their physical or emotional pain. 

Gaga is extremely talented and the world is lucky to have her as an inhabitant but let's not be blind to the pain of others who suffer without access to treatments that ease their misery.
