RAMROD 116,239
So, as we know, Mayhem Requiem set on a post-apocalyptic setting, about 100 years in the future. The synopsis envisions a future fan discovering the ruins of the original Mayhem Ball set, tearing the broken pieces down, and rebuilding them into a dark, gothic, and theatrical piece of art. Will LG8 becomes the continuation of this? A timeline set 100 years in the future, so perhaps the theme will be futuristic What do you feel about this? Do you want it? Or do you wish an original timeline for the new era, the way each one of Gaga's era are not likely interconnected with each other? Shadownight 456
I would absolutely love it if she did that. It's just so great and executed perfectly. I remember posting here ages ago that I wanted her to collaborate with imogen heap and now I want it even more. They could create something so experimental and beautiful together.
shape of a rvfzme 1,461
Let LG8 be something truly original, rather than constantly comparing it to previous albums. I don't want something repetitive like Ava Max, but she will do something creative. I especially don't want something bland like Chromatica Feel the beat under your feet

Didn't even consider that but I totally could see it with how songs like zombieboy and dwas were for REQUIEM! I doubt she would ever connect the eras in a timeline that way, but it is cool to see the way we now know how she might be approaching LG8! I don't think anybody would have interpreted the apocalyptic setting right away if it weren't for seeing them work through the process in behind the scenes footage. Yet another reason I would pay to watch a movie entirely of footage like that, but just see how she made MAYHEM or even her next album. I loved the tastes of it in the netflix documentary. Tangent aside, I definitely think that the futuristic sound could be a possibility, especially if the rumors of her and the weeknd working together end up being true! Hadrian 2,241
Well, I think we can guess the color palette since she seems to go in a pattern lmao I'm thinking the music will sound like filthy crunchy synthwave. Maybe something gritty with colorful visuals and retro synths? idk. i feel like she does A BIT of synthwave OFTEN but hasn't fully leaned into it, but judging from Requiem, that could be the direction she goes in next. edit: i'm here for whatever our beautiful devil lady comes up with tbh i just want her to be happy doing it, even if it's not my personal jam Edited May 16 by Hadrian part of the 14% of ggd that ISN'T elsamars
