TheAlienatedNYC 619
We all know Gaga has been hurt for a long time and she is in a lot of pain, and I've seen here in this site and all over twitter and facebook (specially on her brazilian fanpages) a lot of comprehension with her currently mood, and for me, that's beautiful, but there is a BIG problem in all this situation... As a Brazilian Little Monster, I know the other side of the story. Since the show was announced back in february, I've seen many Little Monsters cheering about it and about the tickets they bought. And I've seen also many Little Monsters complaining that this was the only show here (or any near here) in FIVE years. Anyway, they bought the ticket for 4 shows (when all they wanted was ONE), bought airplane passages to get to Rio (cause Brazil is a LARGE country), wasting a lot of money with it and hotel and food. They were happy anyway. I don't mean to sound intolerant about Gaga's health, but I guess, we missed something really big this time. When she came here for the first (and only) time, she did 3 shows in Brazil. None of them sold out and her and us were target of mockeries by all the country, that think her and her fans are ridiculous and that we don't even have money to sell out a concert of our favorite artist. The biggest joke of it all was that she marked a show in a parking lot for 30k people and didn't sell out too. Everybody knew it was a failure. Five years after, after a campaign on twitter to bring her back to brazil at Rock In Rio, we did it. She was on the lineup along with other 3 irrelevant artists for Brazilian public (now it is four). We did all we could to make it sold out this time and we didn't make it, and again, reason of jokes. But I've seen how much some fans suffered to get there and recieve the news. Minutes ago, I saw in many groups on facebook a screenshot of a girl saying she had recieved donations to get her ticket and was selling soda cans for recycling to buy her passage and pay her hotel. That's not one of a kind here in Brazil. This is the reality of most of all the population who lives in the north and northeast of the country, and my case too, if I wanted to see her, that's what I should have done cause I have nowhere to get money (but I didn't cause I have school tests and **** + this is my last year, I couldn't miss it). I guess no one of you know what does this all means... Well, let me tell you now: 1 - No, Gaga is not coming back anytime in a near future. She NEVER sold out a show in here or latin america (except Monster Ball in Mexico, when the tickets were cheap enough) and no one wants to call her back with the risk of the concert itself being target of jokes by social media or even the risk of her cancelling again; 2 - Her image in Brazil now is more burnt than ever; 3 - Rock In Rio would NEVER call her back, cause she is giving them loss because of tickets refunds (which was not necessary, but in respect, RiR is giving). So, this is what this cancellation means. I don't really know how to scape from this tough reality, maybe if somewhere in a near future (near than 15 or 10 years), she'd come back here for a free concert. Maybe for charity. Unless this, it sounds more like a goodbye for the dream of all of Brazilian fans. Thanks for the attention. Sorry for the broken english. Lots of love to Gaga. Taide 5,789
Honestly this is just an mess era and concert. I hope that her image isn't totally ruined in Brazil and Latin America, but let's see. I'm disappointed also, and I'm not even from Brazil. She should just cancel the whole tour and reschedule it to 2018.
Jed 7,716
honestly it's on you if your stanhood/your relationship with gaga is dependent on "she didn't sell out last time she was here" she wouldn't have backed out if it wasn't serious so, idk, just get over it. no ones saying you cant be upset but typing paragraphs wont make her come
vanus 6,083
its all good what you said, but i dont get how you dont understand its not her ****ing fault, she LITERALLY CANT P E R F O R M , if you know gaga you would all know she would never cancel unless its something serious, she last time broke her hip and is now having this cronic pain from performing in situations like this while she wasnt well ..idk yall want her to die or something idgi imma cut a bitch

nativenewyorker 1,190
I understand the frustration but it's been 4 years since she performed in a lot of places in America as well. That's the path life has taken her. She took time off from touring. Also, she didn't choose to be in pain. I'd rather her cancel the rest of the tour than see her do any more damage to her body. She's only 31, she has to think about the future. If it's this bad now, imagine how she'll be in 10 years. She needs to take care of herself, no matter how unfortunate it is to the fans. tthen 4,621
Wait RiR are refunding? Wow that's pretty cool of them...most fests have a subject to change thing going on and if the lineup changes, no refunds since you bought tickets to a fest and not a specific artist. This rarely happens afaik.
Flawless 2,234
I'm totally devastated. And I feel that too. She'll never be back again. the scars on my mind are on replay.
