I think Millions Reasons can definitely get a SOTY and Pop Vocal Performance nom, and Joanne can definitely get a Pop Album nom. I still think she can get an AOTY nom, but that's a little more slim now.

If there are two albums I am rooting for an AOTY nomination (and win), it's Joanne and DAMN.

3 points in and ready for more

Grammy whisperers saying MR is a contender for SOTY means people expecting at least 1 nom are far from "delulu"

Best Rock Performance - Perfect Illusion :gaycat:

Perfect Illusion isn't eligible for the 2018 Grammys, it came out in September. Gaga's team probably thought they could sneak her in last minute and get a nomination for the 2017 Grammys but that was an obvious fail.

God Control

I don't think Joanne had that much of an impact whether among fans or the general public, or became iconic enough for a nomination, nor did it present anything that is remarkably new and epic to earn a Grammy or get nominated for one. There's a high competition from The Weeknd, Lorde, Ed Sheeran and many others who presented anthemic sounds to this year that they honestly are more deserving of a Grammy. I adore Lady Gaga and if this was The Fame Monster, then I would've definitely expected her to get nominated and win Grammys for it (and rightfully so), but Joanne kinda fell short in both the public and fan expectations, at least in comparison to the efforts of other artists that I mentioned.

remarkably NEW and EPIC from Ed or The Weeknd? They just sold a lot of records, but I wouldn't say they put out something new or epic.
