They put her to a higher standard which is a good thing and bad thing. Because it means they recognize her talent and eclecticness, but it also opens her up to more unfair or bias ridicule. So in your opinion are her metacritic scores justified or not qualitative enough of her albums? What scores would you pick w/o being too biased? These are her scores: The Fame = 71 The Fame Monster = 78 Born This Way = 71 ARTPOP = 61 Cheek to Cheek = 64 Joanne = 67 Keep in mind, 40-60 = Mixed/Average reception. 61-80 = Generally favorable reception. And 81+ = Universal acclaim. So it just shows that at the end, as much as it can be annoying and disappointing, the critics are right.. BLACKOUTbritney 22,361 Posted August 21, 2017 Share Posted August 21, 2017 Born This Way was supposed to have a much higher score than 71 but some critic gave the album 0 I may be biased as a Gaga fan but metacitic should delete that review, it's not a legitimate review. How can any critic really give an album 0 unless they have some sort of hate towards the artist and aren't interested in reviewing the album. Joanne might be more polished but ARTPOP has more interesting lyrics and more complex and richer production. Cheek to Cheek has very dull moments, and too many instrumentation breaks that last longer than they should. They vocals are the highlight of the album. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out.
