Sport fisherman Mark Quartiano, also known as “Mark the Shark,” reposted the video on his Instagram account after it was sent to him. “WTF IS GOING ON HERE ????” Quartiano wrote. “FOR ONCE I MAY HAVE TO AGREE WITH @PETA.” “Look, it’s already almost dead,” says one man in the video, laughing and pointing at the shark. Quartiano says Instagram users @bearjew428 and @MICHAELWENZEL sent him the video, though no one in the video has been identified by officials. “There’s no sportsmanlike conduct with these guys,” Quartiano told WPLG of the alleged boaters. “They just want to kill something, display it on their Facebook, get more followers. One of my best friends is a surfer and he always gets the question "aren't you afraid of sharks?" to which he replies "sharks kill 25 people a year and 99.9% were cases of mistaken identity. Humans kill 100 MILLION sharks a year and every one is intentional. Who would you be afraid of?" Human gets mistaken for a food item, gets bit, and is immediately released because the shark realizes it isn't a food item. Problem is when you get bit by a shark, you loose a massive amount of blood quickly and die from blood loss. I love you monsters.
