Trump offers help to terminally-ill British baby Charlie Gard

Donald Trump has tweeted an offer of help to terminally-ill baby Charlie Gard.

The 10-month-old is currently in hospital in London. A court decision last week ruled that his life support should be turned off.

The President tweeted: ‘If we can help little #CharlieGard, as per our friends in the U.K. and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so.’

Charlie suffers from a rare genetic disorder and has brain damage. He is receiving care at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

His parents have gone through a lengthy legal battle for their son to undergo a therapy trial in the U.S., despite doctors saying the treatment would not help.

Last Thursday the couple released a video saying they had been told Charlie would die on Friday, but they were eventually given more time before his life support was switched off.

They said they had been denied their final wish to be able to take their son home to die and felt “let down” after losing their legal fight.

Trump can't win. I swear. Someone's trying to help someone and you find a negative in it. 

And for the record, you're wrong. Trump has helped many POC throughout his career, including saving a Latina woman who had won his pageant, who had Stage 4  cancer.

Honestly all of the people who act like Trump is some evil soul and make vague horrible statements about Trump are the reason the Democratic Party is flopping harder than Witness. You act like he is Satan himself, make everything about race or prejudice, (when he offered a CANCER PATIENT help because the government wont) and live in a little box where you think being offended justifies you making broad generalizations that aren't true about Trump. Many people see this, and it turns them off and makes you look dumb. Getting bothered by every little thing Trump does makes you look entitled actually. Like....focus on the bigger issues if you want him to lose next time around. Quit picking at the scab every chance you get!

Trump is not the worst thing to happen in America and if you keep acting like it is, no serious voting adult will take you seriously, and it will be your fault he gets re elected. 

Be rational. Choose your battles. And take this a little more serious. If you are going to find a way to turn everything Trump does into a debatable social justice argument, you're playing a losing game. 

Learn your lesson from 2016. Villainizing Trump's every move doesn't destroy him. Stating the truth does.

He just politicizing this. This case is hard. This child cannot nor do they feel will breathe in its own EVER!  I've been following this case. Trump is just trying get sympothy support. Sorry, not sorry. I hope the best for this family. I feel awful for the family and this child but if anyone thinks Trumps actually cares is delusional. Maybe I'm just an asshole.

I don't think Trump is worse than slavery, segregation, women's suffrage, Pearl Harbor, 9/11, the Great Depression, Osama Bin Ladin, Vietnam, Gay Hatred, AIDS, the heroin epidemic, rust belt blight, or poverty, horrible industrial work standards, Hurricane Katrina, the internment of Japanese Americans, or the decay of Detroit.
