I really want PLL to get darker and add elements of horror even though the storyline is way far from horror they could show it with A. The truth is it's not like new fans can hop on board anytime there are 5 seasons , the original audience is older now and view the show as childish ever since season 4 started. To bring them back the show has to get darker and interesting for 17-21 year olds instead of being appealing to 12-16 year olds. I feel the biggest mistake is this show being picked up by ABC family instead of ABC which could have given the show way less limitations. I want PLL to draw inspiration from AHS at this point. More than likely Jessica (Ali's mom) had a sister who died and left her with two children (Charles and Bethany). After Charles showed obsession toward Ali and Bethany was just acting a bit off, Jessica and her husband decided to put them up for adoption. Bethany gets taken in by the Youngs, who later put her in Radely due to her mental illness....and Charles is taken in by the Kingstons. Jessica gets close to Bethany at Radely because of her guilt for putting her up for adoption. Meanwhile Charles who is now Wren, is being fueled with vengeance due to his Aunt Jessie and Uncle Ken giving him up. On the night Ali disappeared, Bethany escaped Radely, and hit Ali with a rock. Jessica buried her own daughter to protect her niece (who she also saw as a daughter), and then Bethany ran off. At some point Ali is pulled out of the ground by Grunwald and makes a break for freedom. Meanwhile, Bethany goes back to the Dilaurentis house and while she's standing in the Backyard, her brother Wren hits her with a shovel thinking she's Ali.When he realizes this he breaks down, and from then on out he blames Jessica, Alison, and her friends by association for the death of his sister. After all, Jessica gave her up, Alison lured her as bait to Rosewood, and the PLLs served as Alison's army of b---hes. After Mona is caught as A, Wren takes over as Big A and plans an endgame of having Ali lured out of hiding by torturing the girls, kidnapping Mona, having Ali convicted, and having the girls locked in a dollhouse, reanacting all of the things his real sister never got to do. Like the user above said, Season 7 will be the last season. Based off of the information I know, the first ten episodes will complete and end the BIG A story. The final episode in the FIRST HALF of Season 6 (episode 10) will reveal the true identity of Charles (who I believe is Wren), and episode 11 will jump four years into the future. Story wise I believe the first nine episodes will reveal Charles's backstory, and on the tenth episode his face is revealed. In that tenth episode one of four things will probably happen. 1.) He will die 2.) He will be arrested 3.) He will be institutionalized 4.) He will escape Starting in episode eleven we will see a true world without A, and the liars will have been through college. We will see what careers they've pursued, who their dating, and for one couple we might see babies. During this second half of season 6, their will be a brand new mystery that is launched, part of which has to do with another missing girl. This mystery will be completed in the series finale.
