And of course there are more shootings here, the USA is basically 50 countries combined into one. As I stated before, the only gun I have ever seen was on a police officer. I feel very safe in the USA, we have great security everywhere and law enforcement is always here in case of an emergency quickly. Again: If you feel very safe in the "gun violence infested" USA, you should have absolutely no fear in any European country at all! Morphine Prince 109,766
I'll echo what some have said: I still feel safe where I live even though the country as a whole has a gun violence problem. You have to remember the US is very diverse. Gun violence can be a major issue somewhere and not an issue at all in other places. The US feels like a safe country to me. That's how I feel based on MY experience.

Only a Democratic platform can fix this, and it will take a long time, unfortunately We've already proven that no mass gun tragedy is going to inspire congress or anyone in charge to do anything, even if the vast majority of Americans believe in it Exactly this! There would have been a massacre yesterday if a high ranking Congressman didn't have two police officers with him. These Congressman should realize their privilege and highly unique position (but they won't)...that any other group of Americans on a baseball field would have died in the dugout. It took police officers three to four minutes to get to the field, which would have been enough time for the shooter to kill, or severely injure, many of those in the dugout. The majority of Americans don't travel with security details. The last time we had gun laws passed, it was because a beloved Republican President was shot. Now, the political climate has become far more partisan and the Tea Party runs the GOP. After Sandy Hook, I've given up hoping for any common sense thinking coming out of the Republicans on gun/ammo regulations.

Debithius 6,058
Just because people feel safe doesn't mean it is safe. I still want to move to the US tho. However, people who complain about the terrorist attacks in Europe can't seem to remember that it doesn't happen daily and Europe doesn't have a history of such gun violence or terrorist attacks in modern history until recently. We shouldn't forget who equipped the terrorists in the first place *cough* USA *cough*.

It's ridiculous to say London is unsafe and it us ridiculous to say that everywhere town where some husband had shot his wife (or vice versa) is unsafe for the other thousands of people that live there. Would you feel unsafe in London right now? Do you think that everyone that lives there feels unsafe?

Travel warnings are justified. Not afraid to travel to Erurope though But if you are going to high tourist areas the risk might be higher for some attack. But you cannot live in fear I don't speak for the entire country. I speak for my experience and I have been safe despite the gun issues which are heavier in some areas than others. Don't see anything wrong with that. There are travel warnings in many places. You should check out the travel state website. It is good to be informed of any issues to any place you are traveling. The chance you get hit by thunder is higher in Europe than dying in a terrorist attack, so yeah, still thinking it's stupid and creates fear out of nothing but yeah, America can do whatever it wants, it doesn't effect me at all
