So sad, scary, and disturbing:( Praying for the Congressmen to make a full recovery and hope all of our Senator's and Rep's are safe and well.

I feel like it's just another day in the states. They're so desensitized.

I want the American's/North American's on this forum to think about how the rest of the world must view this disgusting country, knowing only what they see in the news. Imagine if this were happening anywhere else in the world, how villainized that country would become by Western media.

I guess they're really sleeping in the beds they've made for themselves.

America is a very safe country. We are a huge country (50 different states, soon to be 51) filled with many different types of people. I have always felt safe. Murder and crimes rates are down. We have great security everywhere (like their is security everywhere) and law enforcement that are always at emergencies immediately.

And how do you think Americans view Europe after a terrorist attack every week? I am scared to travel to the UK and France.

It is happening in the rest of the world. Gun violence happens everywhere unfortunately, not just in America.

I live in Canada and as your neighbor I'm truly appalled by what is happening in your country. I don't feel safe even crossing your border let alone spending time in your country. Safe is not a mass shooting almost every day. 154 mass shootings this year, 163 days elapsed this year. That's some ****ed up **** my friend. That's why tourism is taking billion dollar hits in your country.

Also gun violence is more prevalent in America than anywhere else in the world. Deaths by gun violence in the States eclipses every other country exponentially.

It's not really a "disgusting country". Do you live here? I live in one of the consistently top five most dangerous cities in the US.....and I've never seen a gun, except on a police officers hip. You have to remember that there are 320 million people in this country and the majority have never been a victim of any kind of even any minimal crime.

Tourism is down because of idiot Trump.

That isn't correct either, but it is more prevalent than Canada...that's for sure.

That is mostly in troubled cities like Chicago and Detroit, not in the majority of America. A few areas don't represent the thousands of areas in America.

If you don't live in America, you wouldn't understand how safe and how much security it is

It's because people are ****ing terrified of what is happening in your country and if you don't think gun violence plays a role then you are sadly mistaken.

I think the Republic mindset and your corrupt political system is disgusting. You have more guns than you have actual people living in your country. Furthermore, the way that minorities are treated and how they live is really disheartening. Just everything. I grew up thinking that America was a wonderful place. I now see that it's essentially a glorified third world country with a lot of money.

I live 20 minutes from the border. My Mum lives in the states and married an American. I don't feel safe and neither does she. More security and more police presence doesn't make me feel safe. It makes me feel like anything could happen, and really, anything could.

I don't know where she lives but if she feels unsafe it is probably in an unsafe city. America overall is a great country that is extremely safe and crime is at a 20 year low. I have never felt unsafe and the only gun I have seen was on a police officer

Gun violence was the same two, five, ten years ago. Tourism has declined significantly recently since Trump has been inaugurated.

Third world country. Lol
