Perfect Illusion at #1 is everything but taste :toofunny: She didn't even write it, she clearly was forced to put it on the album. Just like 90% of ARTPOP. :laughga:

first of all, we're entitled to our own opinions, and so are you. respect.

she was forced to put it on the album? hahahahahahahaha no.

she would never. not this far into her career. she said it at a radio interview that she sat down and specifically chose every song  on the album, and it was tough to eliminate some. she didn't even write it?? she did though. though when she wrote it with mark ronson it was called savage illusion. kevin parker changed it to perfect. but that's the kinda stuff that changes when you work with different people lol.

with your logic she wouldn't have written 99% of her discography if you want it to be her alone writing everything. (it's only JAD, and You and I)

just like with ARTPOP?? she LOVED that album and it was the music that saved her from not being able to finish the BTWB. she relieved her pain through electronic beats and adrenaline.

while you might mean she wanted Aura as a main single, that's nothing to do with being forced to put it on an album.

You're right, it's just an opinion sorry.

But actually, Kevin Parker wrote the song, and called it Illusion. Gaga changed some words and added Perfect to the title.

Also, Gaga herself said she hated ARTPOP a few days before it came out, out of a hotel in Germany. She said that it was like she didn't write anything, that her team forced her to do everything and that they wanted her to sound like a robot. Her ARTPOP was a well-thought one, not a Swine one.

I didn't even think about Aura, but see, she did the song her own way, and her team destroyed it for the album version.

Mark called over Kevin and two separate songs merged, which is something a songwriting process involves.

Gaga doesn't hate ARTPOP. she in fact loves it. or at least did before it got bashed to the core by critics. she spoke of it with such passion and love with every interviewer. willing everyone to understand the reverse-warholian experience that i admire her so much for. what other pop icon would even bother to grasp such topic and release it at such vulnerable time of their career?

receipts of when she said her label wanted the album to sound robotic? gaga's version of ARTPOP was much more experimental than what it turned out to be, yes, but they changed it because they wanted it to be listenable from others more than just her fans. she wouldn't have released an album she despised, knowing she'd have to perform it for the rest of her career.

Burqa was a demo, and demos almost never sound similar to what turns out to be the official. I highly doubt the label were actually part of the creative process of creating the music. they might've recommended her to make the music more radio-friendly though. even so, ARTPOP for sure isn't radio friendly.
