KyliesChild 16,907
If you hate streaming so much then why do you want her to profit on VEVO: a steaming platform?

SamJ 8,008
Idk how this would affect gaga commercially but I love listening to her on Spotify! I just like shuffling her discography on there and listening to it on loud speaker , I don't like tidals format and cd's are cool but its annoying to skip songs and change cds to listen to a song from a different era and itunes I can't even get I have just windows phones. So I'd be disappointed if she abandoned streaming!

If she has a sales boost, Gaga will also have a sales boost. I'm not an avid charts enthusiast but I can already tell that you've received incorrect information because you can album who debuted with 23,000 outsell an album that debuted with 113,000? And even if it did it was out a year before “Glory" was released and album sales have been steadily declining since then.
joannester 1,270
I know it's sad to admit this but It's time to face that Gaga simply doesn't have the artist power Adele, Beyoncé or TS have. I hate streaming too but driving counterdirection would only damage her sales and image. As someone said, streaming is the future, like it or not I'll mop you all across the floor, snatch your fυckιng weave out Βitch

People that listen to her tend to be people who buy music whereas Gaga is a pop artist that makes pop music. 25, Lemonade and 1989 weren't big sellers bc they weren't on Spotify, they each had immense hype. Gaga ditching streaming would completely cripple her songs if she wants them to be successful.
KyliesChild 16,907
Since you've mentioned Lemonade and how her VEVO views would boost then why are all of the music videos Beyoncé released from “Lemonade" so low?
TheFame Monster 8,961
So because two artists had successful albums that weren't on Spotify, everyone else shouldn't have their music available on Spotify and it'll be a success by default

People consume music in a myriad of different ways and on different platforms. Do you hate Spotify or Streaming? Because Apple Music and Tidal are no different than Spotify in basic terms. Lemonade was on Tidal, 1989 is on Apple Music. You can't deny tomorrow because you want to live in Yesterday. In the long run, it will hurt her sales drastically. They've also been released before Perfect Illusion, but don't pretend as if streaming didn't play an immense role in the success of the album (even though it did exceptionally without streaming). So far, that partnership — which benefited from speculation that “Lemonade” pulled back the curtain on Jay Z and Beyoncé’s rocky marriage — has resulted in 306 million global streams for songs from the album, according to data Tidal provided to The New York Times. About 75 percent of those streams (229 million) came from the United States. Tidal is available in 46 countries. During that same period (from release through Wednesday night), the hourlong conceptual film that accompanied “Lemonade” and had its premiere on HBO has been streamed 11 million times via Tidal. The most popular “Lemonade” tracks on the service include “Sorry,” which is No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, followed by “Hold Up” (No. 16), “6 Inch” (No. 28) and “Don’t Hurt Yourself” (No. 37). and this all happened in less than two months. thelurkingmonster 213
2010 is over. She doesn't have the star power to do so. Unless she scores like two major number 1 hits from her first two album singles (I don't even think one is enough tbh), she lacks the hype as well. Lets put it this way: if Beyonce/Adele/Swift drops a surprise album right here and right now, it would shake up the whole music industry. If Gaga did, we'd hope that it even hit 200k sales. Thats why those three artists don't need streaming, but Gaga does.
