Doncho 27,241
WAAAAAAIT so Joanne is rising WITHOUT a discount?
BibleThisWay 4,370
Are we sure Joanne wasn't discounted or put on the front page of iTunes today or something? There's literally no way it can increase from 160+ to #65 in a day with no promo. Usually when it increases a bunch it's on a weekend when new releases die down

Not complaining, though

There has to be some explanation
Edge Of Venus 731
or maybe digital album sales are so low that anything below Top 50 doesn't make a difference....
nick4bty 2,758
Off topic but the fact that Jagged Little Pill is #139 on iTunes for no reason at all is pretty incredible. One of the few albums from the 90s to transcend so effortlessly over the years and continue selling consistently year after year, even 22 years later. I think it sells somewhere in the range of 70k each year for no reason other than talent.

Can we set some Little Detectives on the case since the voice of reason and wisdom aka @Gypsy Life is nowhere to be found

dit 46,698
So what I want to know is how does Gaga team think. So they see the song climb on itunes on its own and they just say "omg we need to discount it! we have a hit! discount it and forget about more spotify payola and more radio payola! forget those un important things because a couple of extram hundreds digital sales are more valuable omg!11!! discount it FAT!" but when they see the song is slipping on itunes they think "omg ew it's a flop. let's just let it die". Where the F is their logic?!

Where the F is their logic?! There is no logic. Interscope discounts a song or two every week and rotates which songs are discounted. One week it's Cold, one week it's Believer, one week it's It Ain't Me, one week it's The Cure. That's all it is unfortunately
