You and I and John Wayne are both fairly run of the mill pop/rock songs which were given the avant garde video treatment. Alejandro is a straight forward Ace of Base pop song that was elevated by a dark Stephen Klein video. Don't forget, we are talking about the person who turned basic pop songs like Just Dance, Poker Face, Beautiful Dirty Rich, and Brown Eyes into a weird French language short film about an interpretive dancer turned jewellery thief. Whether or not The Cure will get a video is up for debate, but there is no question that Lady Gaga could do something interesting with a video for The Cure.
