Where did this picture come from? The picture is from the booklet, and then someone added the words I think.

shoful 13,304
WHY IS NO ONE PICKING PERFECT ILLUSION! Its a masterpiece!! Best song on the album. Its in her top 5 best songs! And why is John Wayne not on there "My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..."
Bear 7,515
I can't pick, there are so many Joanne (Song), Angel Down, Just Another Day, Diamond Heart, A-YO, Million Reasons etc It's one of the reasons why it is my favourite Gaga album. It may not be a conceptual album or "artistic" like her past albums, but her skills as an artist in both writing and composing these songs I think has never been better. ARTPOP's lyrics beat all of her other albums! Example "Greetings Himeros, God of Sexual Desire. Son of Aphrodite. Lay back and feast as this audio guides you through new and exciting positions.........Mount your goddess. A summer moon comes into full phase. And Mars' warring spirit rams into the atmosphere." Literally those 2 lines beat all of her other songs! "My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..."
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Come to Mama, shame she didn't write much of it Beyond that though, idk...I appreciate the simplicity of Joanne. Diamond Heart is also pretty direct. Sinner's Prayer is pretty nice, even if its musically my least favorite track on the record 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
MarryTheAngel 551
Tbh I didn't like Sinner's Prayer that much when I first heard it. But honestly it's so good now. It's definitely the best lyrically.

Just Another Day (the layout and feel I don't necessarily take a like to, but) could take second cake. Contrary to popular reception, I probably find Perfect Illusion one of her best songs, lyrically. The lyrics are straight to the point and equally effective. Many call it generic, but I call it a hell of an emotion in the form of one track. You can even hear it in her voice. It charges my adrenaline every time. I agree on the PI lyrics. hELXIG 43,030
I don't think I could vote for just one, they're all beautiful in their own ways. Joanne though is up there for me. The lyrics are so simple, but so touching. It sounds like somebody holding their loved ones hand while they're on their death bed, begging them to not leave them, while their heart shatters. Then after two verses of desperation and denial, the bridge brings acceptance "I know where you're going, and baby, you're just moving on" If I think about it this way, it always makes me emotional. And good lyrics will always evoke emotion. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
hELXIG 43,030
P.S. I love Just Another Day as well. Highly underrated. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Lassex 1,169
Just Another Day and Angel Down Oh, and I love the line ''Why do we gotta tell each other how to live / The only prisons that exist are ones we put each other in'' from Come To Mama

But I actually think I prefer the more straight-forward lyrics on the Joanne album. Even when she does use metaphors, it's much more obvious what she's actually singing about. I feel the emotions so much more deeply in those songs. I still don't think I fully understand what's she's talking about in some of BTW's songs (although I don't mind, it's still amazing and probably my second favorite album by her!)
