I'm sure Capitol came through and will come through with the radio and Spotify checks as always. But how long will they keep forcing Katy hits before they finally just give up? The saddest part is Witness sounds like a decent song and could've been a good chance for a solid hit. She doesn't seem to have a clear vision for what she wants her music to be though which I think is what's hurting her the most. OOTB and TD were clear visions. Prism was lost in the sense that ARTPOP was lost, but still good. Now she's throwing **** at the wall and seeing what sticks. Rih pre-Anti vibes It wasn't shade I think Prism is her best work to date, a lot more cohesive than TD (I think both are stellar albums). I think she's progressively gotten better with her albums and I was hopeful she was experimenting a bit when Witness leaked last year. Still, I wasn't disappointed with CTTR, but I agree that the whole promotional campaign for that song, how quickly they dropped it as a single (in comparison to her other leads) and how much of a panic it seems her and her label are having at the moment that it does feel like the pre-Anti Rihanna mess.
