I wouldn't say the Joanne era is over, just that the album Joanne has had its single choices exhausted so a stand alone single or an EP is here/coming 

I don't consider the era over until the tour ends and the Joanne World Tour doesn't start for another few months

I'm not confused. I'm disturbed by it.

I really want to know. I can't believe a new album is finished, I think there isn't a chance for that happening now that's she's been so busy lately.

But then I ask myself why this is a standalone single. I mean, why do that when you released an album not so long ago o.O

I think it was just a surprise for Coachella, maybe it will get a video - but I doubt she has time to start filming MV's and promoting a new EP/Album when she is also filming for ASIB and then embarking on a world tour.

Who said that a new album was finished? The only thing we know is that The Cure is a single, whether it's from a new album or EP is just speculation. 

I think she released it to give the fans one more thing before she gets really busy with ASIB and the JWT. That being said, I certainly wouldn't be complaining if this was a new album or EP.

We should be thankful Gaga gave us a new song!  I thought we will be waiting for another 3 years of gaga-drought but she decided to give us a NEW song!

I didn't. I'm only speculating as if that could be a reason but doubting it.

Probably. Before I heard it I thought maybe it was for ASIB promo, but when I heard it that theory just vanished 😂

Probably just a standalone release for summer. I'm not complaining. It's just so unusual for her to do that.

I guess it could just be a promo single for the tour? It might still get a music video and everything, but if there's no EP or album it would make sense that they want Gaga to be on the radio while they are selling tickets. I don't think it's 100% sold out yet.
