Either they're being paid by the CEO's or they are the CEO. At least, that's our present state. I don't really know or care what the intentions were behind our meddling in the Middle East, I just know it was a mistake and we keep making it worse by doing sh*t like this Lol do you have any evidence of this conspiracy theory or are you just gonna throw claims out there without backing them up like Trump? Hmmm. I can just about guarantee you (or anyone) won't respond with evidence of this haha, it's simply a fabrication. 6 minutes ago, PartySick said: For real. Everyone here (meaning the States, not this thread) seems to think the U.S. and ISIS going head to head is like equal forces clashing but it's more like an overweight frat boy armed with an aluminum baseball bat and searching through his room trying to find that small, slightly venomous spider that he saw a few minutes ago. As he rampages about, he breaks stuff, sometimes his own stuff, sometimes others' stuff, and he kills other things but he can't quite seem to get a lock on that spider. Hide contents I took that metaphor way too far What? ISIS is in 21 countries, committed over 90 attacks, and have killed almost two thousand people..... Anyone who thinks they aren't a serious problem... There has literally never been a more sophisticated terrorist group in history. They have control of whole oil fields, they have extremely high revenue, can buy weapons of mass destruction of Iran (thanks to the Iran deal), and have taken over a country despite Russian support of the government there. They're powerful as hell and easily capable of a 9/11 type attack. How is that not serious?

And that's just Trump's cabinet picks Not to mention most establishment Republicans (and some Democrats too) basically orgasm at the thought of reducing or totally removing regulations that hold oil companies back from making the most profit. And when you look at where these people get their donations, the biggest ones come from oil and gas companies. It's not that hard to see I have doubt that they'd actually start this bloody war over oil but I wouldn't be surprised at all really. The military Industrial Complex makes a lot of money from war + http://edition.cnn.com/2013/03/19/opinion/iraq-war-oil-juhasz/ Oil was not the only goal of the Iraq War, but it was certainly the central one, as top U.S. military and political figures have attested to in the years following the invasion. "Of course it's about oil; we can't really deny that," said Gen. John Abizaid, former head of U.S. Central Command and Military Operations in Iraq, in 2007. Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan agreed, writing in his memoir, "I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil." Then-Sen. and now Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said the same in 2007: "People say we're not fighting for oil. Of course we are." For the first time in about 30 years, Western oil companies are exploring for and producing oil in Iraq from some of the world's largest oil fields and reaping enormous profit. And while the U.S.has also maintained a fairly consistent level of Iraq oil imports since the invasion, the benefits are not finding their way through Iraq's economy or society. --- Guess these guys have no idea what they're talking about. 1 hour ago, Cocaine Heart said: Omg. The war and fear mongering Daesh isn't taking over the world or the Middle East for that matter Daesh don't even have 40% of ground in both Syria and Iraq combined, after all these years. Last year they lost about 14% of ground because of the Kurdish fighters and some factions of the rebel groups. Also. We don't know about the civilians yet and will probably not know because of the type of bomb. Even if we knew, y'all will just say but it's a small number. Y'all continue though The delusion about Iraq war and oil due to blind nationalism. The exaggerating power of Daesh, apparently controlling Raqqa is equivalent to conquering TWO WHOLE countries. Can these experts even find these countries on the map? The ignorance about radical shia and radical sunnis non existent cooperation as they both fight each other and consider each others disbelievers. lego 44,165
@PartySick may I add In 2000, Big Oil, including Exxon, Chevron, BP and Shell, spent more money to get fellow oilmen Bush and Cheney into office than they had spent on any previous election. Just over a week into Bush's first term, their efforts paid off when the National Energy Policy Development Group, chaired by Cheney, was formed, bringing the administration and the oil companies together to plot our collective energy future. In March, the task force reviewed lists and mapsoutlining Iraq's entire oil productive capacity. Planning for a military invasion was soon under way. Bush's first Treasury secretary, Paul O'Neill, said in 2004, "Already by February (2001), the talk was mostly about logistics. Not the why (to invade Iraq), but the how and how quickly." http://edition.cnn.com/2013/03/19/opinion/iraq-war-oil-juhasz/ FreePalestine
