She did promote Million Reasons and pushed it to the Superbowl (which was my point). Pushing this song beyond and above is the only thing she/her team were committed to while promoting this album, it seems...

She released a third video out of nowhere and basically never even talked about it. It tanked. 

She made a few TV appearances and most of her interviews were on radio. We got several bar gigs by the time the album was being released, that's it.

This really doesn't sound like she was here for this album (except MR, which seems like the only reason she released this album in order to prove the world she can be an Adele)

I'm not gonna go into PI discussion bc you know perfectly well what happened there. 

She released three videos, my point stands. Also, JW was never meant to be anything more than a video for fans. It tanked bc it was not anything else than a video. 

All of the tv appearances, radio stuff, pushing MR to death, SB and promo tours in multiple countries does sound like putting an effort.

The effect of the promo is a whole another story. She did do promo tho.

Then again, it was my initial point. She wouldn't have pushed it so much if it wasn't for the SB. If that never happened, the single would have died somewhere in december, along with the petty video that came with it and we most probably wouldn't have gotten anything more from the album.

Sure. Just a simple video made by Jonas Akerlund, with a pretty nice budget, FX, stunts, elaborated visuals and oh shocker : it was released right after the Superbowl. 

She clearly expected some more from it. You don't release a music video like John Wayne's "just for fun", there is no such thing in music business.

Well she wanted to quit music after ARTPOP. Who could have blamed her I mean her manager left her, the album couldn't meet the expectations from her previous works in regards to commercial success and critics (even though I wouldn't say it flopped) and so many planned things never were implemented as well as the bad press about DWUW. Gaga also said that she felt like a product and a money making machine and there it makes sense that she wanted to have more control about her artistry and the creation process of her work. There are a lot of signs that she is in a much better posizion right now. To me it completely makes sense and it is very plausible.

You don't know that. And yes you do release a music video like JW just for fun when you're Lady Gaga and your fans are whining about how you're not your old self anymore.

SB is a part of promo campaign, your point is not valid.

I can give you many points but I want to keep it short and I will name you one example which comes to my mind right now.

During ARTPOP she was very vulnerable to critic. Remember when the Katy vs. Gaga "beef" was going on and Gaga was adding fuel to the fire by writing a shady tweet towards Katy. People usually start to attack other people when they are feeling inferiored and Gaga was very sensitive  at that time point when it came to her personality/career and felt attacked from many sides. Compared to TF (M) and BTW time you could see she was much more insecure in her actions during the ARTPOP era.

Remember when the Chainsmokers dragged PI last year and she handled the shade more maturely by answering with much more grace. She solved that in a completely different way. For me this is a sign for mental strength and I loved how she managed that. 

We know that right now she is surrounded by a team like Bobby and the Haus which are here friends and she was getting rid of the people who might be harmful to her in her opinion. Of course it makes sense that a person then would feel better which serves as a base for a good mental balance.
