He said that a dementia study does not apply to other Americans because Americans marry a diverse group of people while in Finland, where I presume the study took place, they marry people from the same origin which increases the likelihood of diseases like Dementia.  No, his words were taken out of context. America was founded on many different races, we aren't a country of one origin, all Americans come from different places and have different backgrounds. In Sweden, they are Swedish, they were born there and most of there ancestors were as well so there is more of a risk for diseases if you marry inside of the same origin gene pool aka 'pure society' which means the same genes. He said that a study does not apply to Americans because all Americans come from different countries and backgrounds and marry people who's ancestors came from everywhere, where in a country like Sweden or Finland, there ancestors were born there, didnt travel from other places. 

For example: some people from Africa are at risk for other diseases that people who didnt marry Africans like Sickle Cell.

Since everyone is freaking out and does not understand basic biology, here is the study.

Since Americans marry a diverse group of peoples (Italians, Jews, Africans, Europeans, Asians) they are not at risk for certain diseases since the pure society, gene pool, has multiple traits.

When you marry people from the same origin and coutntry, you are at risk for certain disease where in Sweden, what he is referring too, Dementia.

Just like in Africa, Sickle Cell is common when Africans marry because the gene pool has that trait.

Omg this is so my grandpa (dads dad). My dads side is full Scottish and my grandpa always says that my bio mom contaminated the gene pool (she's full Irish). Lol it drives him nuts that his great grand daughter (my daughter) is 1/4 irish, 1/4 Scottish on my side and 1/2 German on her dads side

This was clearly taken out of context to get reactions though. It's not he was saying that he believes people should only date within their own race/ethnicity.
