There is no denying her success has diminished. You could say sales have decreased, but Adele sold over 1 million with Hello in the first week just one year ago. Katy was a major force and 50K in sales the first week is beyond sub par for her. By no means do I think she's going to fail like a Meghan Trainor. But she'll become an artist on the level of Ariana Grande, no longer up there with Rihanna and Adele. And if she does goes to #3 next week (highly doubt it with Ed, TaylorxZayn and Migos in the top) so #4 seems like the highest she'll go. Doesn't mean she'll have longevity. Listen, i root for Katy, Im just saying as a chart freak, the odds are against her. Top 10 hit for sure. but not that #1 lead single she's used to. As for Maroon 5...yea I don't care for them. I was a big fan in the 00's, but they sold out after Moves Like Jagger. I don't think they deserve to be at the top anymore. So many other hard working, artistic, talented artists who deserve that success. Beyonce, Rihanna, Adel, Gaga, Ariana, Bruno, Ed etc, are deserving of their success in my eyes, cuz they're talents, I, personally, don't see that with Maroon.
