I loved her take on the power white pantsuit, alluding to the suffragettes and to HIllary. I loved the "fence," the "Persist" armband, the "Planned Parenthood" lapel pin.  I actually thought it was an effective performance, bringing meaning to the song without it feeling  like being hit with the sledgehammer, still very entertaining    I loved the Constitution at the end and the "No hate."     The visuals at the end were amazing.  She got a standing ovation.  Great job, Katy.

The song is catchier this time around to me, than when I first heard it.

That was great ! I'm loving this politically involved Katy Perry. The ironic tone of the song suits her so well

The most interesting part to me was sing the phrase "tone deaf" with a straight face.

What did the images mean?

the perfect (white) house with the nice (white) fence

the fence rising higher and higher hiding (almost censoring) Katy

the confusion and caos hiding behind those "walls"

does those images remind you of something?

There is nothing worse than an artist using a generic pop song with absolutely no meaning or reference to current affairs being used as a way of "political statement".

I don't mind Katy, but I wouldn't listen to her music for a politics lesson.

I like the "turn it up it's your favorite song" part. But the rest of the song is kinda boring, particularly the verses. Didn't Sia write this? I'm glad she gave it away lol.

The "tone deaf" line LOL

I thought it too.

We got it sweetheart, you're here to hate on her. no need to milk your petty hate speech more than the Teenage Dreams singles, you should do something productive instead

the performace was messy. the only interesting about thing about it was the house exploding. her look was messy. her moves were messy. vocals messy. it just wasnt cohesive.

It's so funny how she's trying the "political stuff" right now, because everyone keeps talking about it and it's trendy after the election.

I found her statement as bland as the song itself.

That was a really interesting performance, i liked it, despite her vocals that well, i just dont really like. But as a whole, it was nice, simple but effective performance. Her moves were great, very natural, and political message was subtle at first, but i think a bit too much at the end. What bothers me was Katy herself, during interviews she was kind of weird, sad, lost, looked irritated. Don't care about her career, but i hope she's ok.

You're wrong. She started being politically involved ever since Hillary began her campaign. Popstars getting political has never been a trendy thing nor recognised by the public, it actually is risky a move since they are all supposed to be liked by anyone and everyone, and not problematic.

It's funny how GGD used to call her out for being childish and so on, now that she's more serious and cynical than ever you all keep bitching about something else. And she's supposed to be the child here

i strongly dislike katy (for many valid reasons) but i really loved this performance & the visuals. and whoever wrote/helped wrote that song did a great job. whats labled as her music has sucked and been way worse in the past. but this isn't bad!
