RedOne hasn't produced a smash hit since Starships, and his last hit was an Austin Mahone song in 2014. He is not selling anymore, the music would sound just like everything Gaga has done and it wouldn't be successful. She needs to keep trying new things. They're just not supporting this album because it's too far left of today's musical climate. Look at Katy, Rise was a huge flop on radio and streaming, yet CTTR is getting support on both with no issue. Gaga could easily crank out some hits and she'd have full support again. She chose to make an album for herself and healing, not for radios and streaming. That doesn't mean she's done for and alienated radios forever. Joanne is still doing amazingly for not being mainstream and really having no huge hit single to push it. She can if she releases a pop song and that is what she should have done. If she continues to releaseΒ non mainstream singles, her mainstream career will be over unfortunately. She is lucky to have the Super Bowl this era. I don't think her mainstream career will ever be over, she's already cemented herself in that position. Especially if she does movies and acting gigs.
