Like low key I kinda missed the controversy. Always was a part of Gaga. Made people think. Joanne is such a safe album. No alarming visuals or things to really talk about it. Because that theory was pretty much put to rest by then. The whole Illuminati conspiracy is getting really old now. It had its heyday from about 2008-2012, but became old news after then. Probably because we survived 2012, when, according to a lot of religious types who believed in conspiracies, that the world was going to end then. No end to the world = many debunking the whole Illuminati/satanism/new world order idea. A lot of people just laugh at the concept now. The funny thing is that this guy talks about "if you don't follow her music you won't know much about her occult beliefs, but if you do follow it, you will." He clearly hasn't followed her music because if he had, he'd know that she's brought up her love for God in songs like Born This Way, Black Jesus/Amen Fashion, You And I, Million Reasons, Angel Down and several others, along with actually making an entire song about her love for good in Fashion Of His Love! Her imagery doesn't always match up with what she sings about. She's proof that you can believe in God but still enjoy a bit of darkness. No one's been struck down for doing it yet. But of course, it's convenient for religious types to never bring up any of this stuff. They just want to talk about the stuff that's convenient for them, not bringing up any Satanists don't pray, go to church, outwardly speak about their love for God. Gaga has done these things. There are just certain types of believers out there who have been utterly brainwashed about what religion's about, what they should and shouldn't do, get wound up with conspiracy theories and the like. It's possible to be a believer but still apply logic to things and have free will. Seriously, these Gaga lyrics: "Jesus is the new black." "I'm getting all the signs from above." "There's nothing wrong with loving who you are cos He made you perfect, babe." "I'm beautiful in my way, cos God makes no mistakes." "Doesn't everyone belong in the arms of the sacred?" "I bow down to pray, I try to make the worst seem better, Lord show me the way." "There's only 3 men I'mma serve my whole life, it's my daddy and Nebraska and Jesus Christ." How anyone could say that she's a devil worshipper after this is beyond me. Not everyone who believes in God is a strict church-goer every Sunday, has read the Bible from cover to cover, abstains from sex until marriage, doesn't smoke or drink and never commits a sin. Sure, if you want to put the title of Christian on yourself, then, maybe you'll be held to a higher standard. But you can merely believe in God and pray and that's about it. Certain crazy Christians like to think you're either exactly like them or you're a satanist. Utter nonsense.
