Annexing chunks of someone else’s territory seems a throwback to a darker age; indeed this is the first time Europe’s borders have been changed by force since 1945. He is the complete opposite. He has to respond to every little thing that anyone says about him because he is so thin skinned. He has the mentality of a 10 year old on the playground, kicking and screaming until he gets his way. Luckily for him there are enough uneducated people in this country that will believe anything if you tell them enough times. Im terrified of him in the same way im terrified of that 10 year old with a machine gun. He might just be stupid enough to cause havoc. That doesn't make him tough or strong. And he has a tic-tac for a d.i.c.k 100% Well that's your opinion and that's fair enough. That's not my opinion of him and that's not even the opinion of him from a lot of people around the world. Of course everyone is allowed to perceive him differently. I will say that I haven't mentioned Putin's history at all so there's no way in the world you would know the depth of my understanding after knowing nothing about me. However, I'm not at all speaking on what Putin wants. That is an extension of an idea that Putin is happy because Trump is perceived as weak and ineffective, when there is no evidence to support that perception . This encompasses the former republics of the Soviet Union, and eastern and central Europe. Moscow ideologues talk of “civilisational spheres” and “pluri-centricism” – code for Russia being a dominant world force on equal terms with the US. Pretty much. Moscow has been left in the dust by Beijing as the most powerful communist state, and Putin knows it could no longer wish to expand eastward and southward, so he turns his forces to the west, where the USSR once held power and considerable influence. China overtaking the US' economic power means Putin is emboldened in taking steps against the US and the west. Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

President Trump 3,508
8 hours ago, Bebe said: What are you talking about? Of course all this stuff on Putin is relevant to a conversation about Trump and Putin. The criticisms of Trump getting cosy also isn't based on some fantasy of an idea of Trump, it's based on what we know about Putin and what is happening in the world. In a world where the director of M15 (The British Intelligence) warned of Russia's "Increased aggressiveness" and talked about how the kremlin is using propaganda, espionage, subversion and cyber-attacks to push its foreign policy abroad and in a world where there are more Russian agents in the UK now as there was during the Cold War - you are calling Trump's friendliness with Putin "positive". In a world where Putin is currently keeping nuclear armed missiles on the European NATO boarder you are calling Trump's friendliness with Putin "positive". In a world where France, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Britain and Canada, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia have troops around Europe's border to deter Russian aggression you are calling Trump's friendliness with Putin "positive". How exactly is this positive like you claim? What are the benefit for the U.S? Right now it just seems to be making U.S allies nervous and making the U.S seem like a less trustworthy ally. It also just seems to be making Europe as a whole very nervous. Why exactly do you think this move is positive considering everything going on in Syria, considering Russia's increased aggressiveness in Europe, considering Russia poses a threat to important U.S allies? 8 hours ago, SychosSoChic said: Lol @ anyone who thinks this is a good thing You clearly know less about international politics than Trump does 8 hours ago, Adakam said: No puppet! No puppet! Youre the puppet! Nah seriously, playing happy family with Russia is not a good thing, Hillary would have kept them under control, trump will just sucumb to what Putin wants. Putin is a strong, manipulative guy, he doesnt like trump because of his businesses. You have to be blind to not realize this... Americans rly screwed up this time Yikes at all these history majors. Look, it's a good thing to have someone who is willing to have positive relations with another country. That doesn't mean that Trump will "succumb to Putin's demands" like a "mindless puppet." Give me a break. I can't wait until Trump proves you all wrong. You know something, I'll be fair here - you could have a point. But you could also just as easily be totally, totally wrong. It is pure speculation at this point. I mean most of you turn a blind eye to the way the Democratic campaign was ran and how weak and ineffective Hillary was. Couldn't control her own party, couldn't control her own scandals, couldn't do anything but run a nasty, nasty campaign. I know most people feel it's the opposite, but that was the point of her campaign - to plant that idea. I mean it, I really do, think about it at night, or in the shower, or driving down the road. Who ran the most inspirational campaign in the end? Watch both of their rallies on YouTube and rewatch the debates. Pay attention to what is said and the energy, pay close attention. Just give it a balanced observation. You might be surprised. But anyway, let's not make conclusions in search of evidence. Give Trump a chance. Every single thing he's said for months has been ignored. "President for all people," not taking away anybody's rights. His rallies were AMAZING. Every single time, they denounced whatever paid protestor was in their audience. Nobody remembers that, or cares. Conclusions in search of evidence. That doesn't mean that Trump will "succumb to Putin's demands" like a "mindless puppet." Give me a break." Trump has talked about refusing to help NATO, he has talked about lifting sanctions on Russia , he has talked about how great a leader Putin is and has refused to condemn him for assassinating journalists and political enemies, he has talked about siding with Russia in Syria You keep talking about how all this is based on is this silly fantasy that Trump is a weak leader who will give Putin what he wants! This is based on what Trump has said about Syria during the campaign, this is based on what he has said about NATO during his campaign, this is based on what he has said about Putin during his campaign! He has seemingly endorsed Russia’s approach to the war in Syria, indicating he’d work with Moscow and Syrian President Bashar Assad’s government to defeat the self-proclaimed Islamic State, while withdrawing support for the Islamist rebels http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/what-will-foreign-policy-look-like-under-president-trump/ http://foreignpolicy.com/2016/11/17/trumps-syria-strategy-would-be-a-disaster/ He has promised “to look into” recognizing Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea, which would upend the current U.S. policy of “non-recognition” and eliminate the most viable justification for anti-Russian sanctions.http://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/trump-crimea-sanctions-russia-226292 He has said the war in the Donbass is “Germany’s problem,” hinting at withdrawing unquestioned U.S. support for Kiev’s stonewalling on implementing the Minsk agreements. http://uatoday.tv/politics/trump-says-germany-should-deal-with-russian-invasion-of-ukraine-475633.html He has talked about how he would be willing to abandon NATO as well as allies such as Japan and East Asia if they didn't pay the U.S https://newrepublic.com/article/132093/donald-trump-doesnt-get-alliances I mean **** me for being a little cautious over Trump's friendliness with Russia when Trump has already talked about giving Russia what they want. We can see from Russian propaganda media outlets just a little of what Putin wants and what he expects from a relationship with Trump. There is something to be said about trying to mend ties with Russia, absolutely, but Trump's approach is disastrous. His approach so far has been to serve the goals of the Kremlin. "I mean most of you turn a blind eye to the way the Democratic campaign was ran and how weak and ineffective Hillary was. Couldn't control her own party......" I thought Hillary was an awful candidate The rest of this is awkward propaganda... I know you love this idea that Trump wasn't racist and that this was all a lie from the Clinton campaign and left-wing media - despite neo-nazi and white supremacist nationalist groups bragging about how Trump is talking about the same stuff they are. I've watched Trump rallies in full - When you know the facts he is an idiot and a racist. It also has nothing to do with this topic - you seem to me trying to shift conversation away. This is about Trump and Putin and their uncomfortable friendliness. This is about Trump bigging up Putin, seemingly agreeing with his approach on Syria and threatening to pull support from NATO at a time when Russia is getting increasingly aggressive in Europe.
