Popstars are speaking their minds now and I love it. In the past, they would have just stayed quiet about this stuff. Halsey naturally wants to be remembered for her own music and probably didn't want to do this track in the first place but got pressured into it. You can see from that live performance that she wasn't feeling it. She's probably glad she can officially cut the song loose now.

Like I said above, she probably doesn't even like the song but was pressured by her label into doing it to get her some exposure. I can't even say its helped her that much, her music hasn't become popular and her Vevo views and likes have remained at the usual pace. So, she likely hates how she has to pretend to like this song because it's doing nothing for her career. Do you really think Gaga liked Starstruck, for instance? That she thought Flo Rida was an amazing talent? No, new artists are pushed into doing these collabs to get some exposure and get people interested via buying into a name they already know. Plus, these guys called her a bald bitch on Twitter after she said how much she liked Joanne and then they tried to pretend they got hacked and didn't really write it. She probably dislikes them just as much. After all that, I don't blame her for being a bit bitter.

Ok, at least you have the same standards. Now that the song's pretty much done, though, does being professional still come into it? The Chainsmokers have shown themselves up to be awful people, so does Halsey still owe them or the song anything? I mean, Gaga pretty much disowned DWUW after the AP era was officially done and I can't help thinking that it was because she regretted working with R Kelly and regretted the video and didn't like being forced into making the song a single. It doesn't necessarily show that she's unprofessional, just that she's real and honest.

Gaga pretty much disowned entire ARTPOP tho. I know Halsey must be pissed off at the Chainskmokers but still, it is disrespectful to whoever supports her to be all like "ugh I can't believe this song I did for money is ovah byeeee". I just simply hope this is a misinterpretation of her tweet.

Anyone who supports her will be listening to her solo material, not her features. Lana Del Rey hated on the Summertime Sadness remix and her fans agreed with her and stuck by her. Your fans don't care about your features, they're only here for good solo material.
