I love the new era and all but I just have to ask, when did we start fearing being second to Michael Buble?

I mean, yeah music not the bling, but it just amazes me that we actually are afraid of a jazz act eclipsing a full-on era :emma:

His last album of mostly cover songs ended up selling close to 900K in the US and over 3 million worldwide. He outsold a lot of artists.

And despite this sales success, the first week sales were less than ARTPOP (190k aprox). Let's hope that their 50s year old stans will buy the album for xmas:hor:

Because it was released in April, not on Black Friday weekend. Now, they both are released at a neutral time. Thankfully, Buble's album isn't a Christmas themed one, or we would be in trouble. :)

He's on HSN this weekend. I bet he sells a lot on that format.

Good points, but let's expect that the SNL performances will go commercially well. And I'm sure that tomorrow Gaga will unveil album offers like autographed-limited editions, some especial CDs with extras at popular stores or coffees in USA + the next week will be followed for more unanounced performances.

Another thing that will help a lot is the streaming fact: Gaga has 10 millions more of monthly audience in Spotify than Michael, and a fanbase that will stream a lot for the first week extra billboard points. :)

I really doubt that Gaga will debut the second on BB200, but if she does, I will be really (really!) deceived with her marketing team :(
