doppelganger 3,932
I can understand why this is a fan favourite- structurally it's the most TFM esque. Dense production. There's a lot going on. It's not my favourite on Joanne though.
wahkeenasitka 1,995
So.... Dancing In Circles totally reminds me of the vocals on Alejandro. Does anyone else see the resemblance between Alejandro & DIC? It's a bit more psychedelic / otherworldly / exotic / with a lil bit of caribbean / reggae vibes thrown in... jajagaga1896 89
Number one favorite song right now on Joanne! Love a lot of the songs on this album, but this has a stand-out timeless essence to it. Plus it all just makes sense for me - the lyrics, the beat... the whole essence. A little of an 80s vibe as well, to it.

Yes, listening now and it definitely shares similarities with Alejandro... and everything else you just mentioned. Definitely most like her previous works - almost feel like it is the song to sum up the feelings and inner messages of her previous works, including Alejandro and other gems from The Fame Monster. It has the themes of sex, loneliness, darkness and such.
Pyro 0
I don't know if anyone has already said this, but for me the"tap down" part is the new "let's have some fun, this beat is sick..." . Just even better. It's sooo good.
MANiCURE 60
It's my fav on Joanne for sure, in fact it does seem to have an Ace of Base influence
Leaf 2,429
I love it. Would have been so TFM if it was produced by RedOne.

misunderstood 8,736
A damn bop. "I'd rather be poor and happy, than rich and alone"
giskardsb 12,565
This song feels out of place to me. It's like she was throwing a bone to TFM fans. still good but my least favorite on the album. But then I don't like Alejandro. Which probably guarantees DIC is the next single
GeorgeDK 33
This should or sure be a single... it the most likely hit on the album... and yes, it does resemble Alejandro and Ace of base

Raul Germanotta 4
"Let's funk downtown..." - Is this a reference to the Mars/Ronson song "Uptown funk"?

AmenTheNight 1,084
Should have been a lead single released in July, we could have started the era with a solid hit tbh Still, I can totally picture it at the tour in the same act as Alejandro.
