She said this during the BBC 1 interview.  She also went on about the social media from one of the radio interviews this morning. I cannot link to it because---- lazy.

Charts are one thing.

She is so relaxed.  It doesn't feel very Gaga.  She used to be so desperate, it was wonderful.  She went to any length, any craziness.  It doesn't feel as much like she cares right now.  If she was caring and desperate and still flopping I would be happy because I would care with her.

Radio is looking pretty good by the way.  If it keeps getting a chance on radio and my station plays it, I would enjoy that.  Streaming can follow if people enjoy what they hear.

I played it in my workplace and my workmate seems enjoyed it and humming it.

(for people who bashing because some people care about chart, I see its kinda like football/sport which u really liked a team. Wish em win. And it's a great feeling when see em take the crown. If it not, maybe later but you still support the team right? Because some teams has up and downs. But sometimes it's great to root for the underdogs. I had it with cheap thrills. I already liked it last winter and I know it will be big. But no sign till radio catching up on the summer. So when it hits #1 in the summer it feels great )

Now that she no longer plays with popular culture... it's all a bit meh... I don't know I don't want to be negative it's just how I'm feeling. 

She's cemented in pop culture, though. That's a fact, that's objective, she changed the face of pop culture back in 2008 and was a world-wide phenomenon, she doesn't need to do that again. I'd rather have her be someone she truly is than have someone try to top herself for the sake of topping herself. 

For her to be really down to Earth and write an album that's completely autobiographical, that takes some balls. When you have this public image to look after, it's nice that she's really taking her time and just doing something because she wants to. I mean, just look at the people she's working with. Father John Misty, Beck, Florence, etc. etc., they're all people who aren't the most famous—hell, most people know Beck from when Kanye was about the "pull a Kanye" and wanted to say that he didn't deserve the award. Those people aren't from someone who wants to be uber-successful, they're from someone who wants to be more "real" and "authentic" with us. 

Again, she's already cemented herself in pop culture, she doesn't need to do it again.

meh, honestly i don't care about charts. as long as i'm content with the sound then nothing else really matters. but it's personal preference.
