It probably would have been somewhat of a hit if Pop Radio would actually play it. I like the song, but just hate the fact Chris is on it. The broader story is that fewer Rhythmic and Urban tracks are crossing over to pop this year, leaving room for a different range of sounds (dance, rock, pure pop). Birthday Cake has 62 million airplay from R and U, but is stuck in the urban ghetto (not doing well internationally either). Personally, SS is a flawless video (except the part that looks like it's a Windows Media Player). You can't change my mind. RITD was at least classy, SS is just random and vile. RITD may not have a great choreo, effects etc but it's classy and cool. Starships is a cheap ugly video that sucks in it's effects, and wardrobe. Even a Ke$ha video is better than than SS.
