We get a lot of insignificant news (such as Twitter posts and offhand comments made by candidates) everyday. Our threads are popping up everywhere and it's frustrating a lot of people, including myself. I'd like to make a Hillary Thread and a Trump thread. There's enough news and discussion to keep these threads at the top daily, and I'd be willing to update the title as necessary. Big news topics (like the Khan issue or the DNC leaks, for instance) will still have their own topics. The separate megathreads are for all of the news that aren't game-changing for the election itself. What are your thoughts? EDIT: After discussion with the rest of the moderating team, I have decided to leave threads the way they are. However, I do ask everyone to always check for AP threads when you post! They're great, and it makes everything more cleaner and organized. Seeing threads like that everyday, it is annoying and making everything crowded. Luiz 4,253 Posted August 7, 2016 Share Posted August 7, 2016 i already said why i dont like it in the other thread. the posts showing up in the latest post section on the front gets people talking about it more and gains more activity and fun discussions but it all being in one thread will significantly lessen the participation in these conversations. less fun for me BUT this isnt a politics forum, so do it. As someone already mentioned, mega threads don't get much traction, but if it helps keep the forum clean and organized, and if the multiple threads are annoying members, then one mega thread for each candidate should be cool maybe one for Hillary, one for Dump, and one for independents/Green Party?
