Right. He was a bit overrated but there wasn't streaming that time so as the king of pop his albums were bought more than many. Plus, many people buy Thriller in memory of MJ or so they can show off this classic album

Since its release in 1982, Michael Jackson's Thriller has held the record for the best selling album of all time.

As of 2016, the album has sold an estimated 65,000,000-70,000,000 copies worldwide.

Do you think its possible for any popstars of today to be able to beat this record? Or is it Michael's to keep?

Excuse me but it took his death to achieve that. I'm sure if someone like Lady Gaga died, her album sales would soar higher than Michaels. And also, Gaga topped it with Bad Romance, artistically and creatively anyhow. And with everything associated with The Fame Monster and BORN THIS WAY Gaga >>>> Michael.

It's overrated because of the huge success from it's singles, hmmm sounds something like TFM :reductive:

No, if you don't count streaming the album/video as purchases because with the digital age, listening to the album for free is too easy.

Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.
