Gaga needs to stop being such a martyr and thinking she can change the world. If Sandy Hook, where literal children were blasted with bullets in their cute little faces, wasn't enough to convince Congress about gun laws, then what on earth makes her think anything is going to change or that anybody has the power to make change?

:saladga:

I guess it's better if she says nothing and hides under her blanket, right ?

At least Gaga always seems extremely honest, personal and direct. She isn't a sudden Super Hero just because she has worked her way into becoming famous, she is still like the rest of us, but with a large platform to project upon.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I'm not disgusted that she supports Hillary as much as I am disgusted that she literally tweeted #voteHillary to talk about the incident.

Now is not the time. I literally... like... are you ****ing kidding me. Who is she?

3 points in and ready for more

She could offer condolences without being so naive as to think anyone could have any impact on gun laws.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

STOP. YOU'RE SO WRONG FAT.
"She probably thinks a call to action is more important and that's why I don't think she made a mistake with her first tweet."

:eyesrolled:

You quote me in a different thread and out of context and without tagging me? Lmao you're special.

Btw, when would be a more ~sensitive~ time for yall to wake tf up and start working towards change?

If I got gunned down in my hometown (supposedly in the land of freedom), just for being gay, by some lunatic who was given access to guns, I wouldn't really care for random celebrities tweeting condolences and well wishes. I would just hope that there would be people looking for ways to change society after being reminded for the BILLIONTH time that hatred and gun violence is a real threat.

It was too soon for her to bring up politics, no doubt - but I don't think any of you can judge her as a person for one small slip up. She's always been advocating for LGBTQ and puts her money where her mouth is. The fact that she doesn't pour her heart out on her twitter anymore doesn't mean she didn't feel the pain of the tragedy.

I don't think it's ever wrong to advocate for social change and anything you believe in, whether it's political or not. The fact is Hillary is the only candidate calling for stricter gun laws, while the other is a monster who feels justified to promote hatred and violence. I think it's only natural that a political conversation be held when so much is at stake.

If people in the United States actually woke up and voted for their elected representatives who wanted to then yeah, the government could change gun laws. It is actually really that simple.

Countries like England, Australia and Canada have done it. I don't see why the self-proclaimed "greatest country on Earth" cant even try. Dialogue needs to take place, and people need to go vote.

I never thought I would feel so disconnected from Gaga lol. It doesn't even make me sad. And to be honest, as ridiculous as it sounds, I think it started when she publically endorsed Hillary. Now this stupid move? I can't help to lose a little bit of respect for her.

Oh my God, have you been here for the last eight years of Obama's presidency? If one of the most liberal presidents that the United States has ever had can't achieve anything with regard to stricter gun laws, what makes you think anybody else has a chance? Congress will always overrule him because the arms industry = lots of money. America will never change its attitude to gun laws as long as people keep buying them in droves. Australia and the UK managed to ban them because they're not corrupt and morally bankrupt countries. Are you so quick to forget that the USA is the same country that went to war and killed its own people over oil/money?

If you think it is "really that simple" then you are kidding yourself. If the murders of American children aren't enough to change Congress's minds, what the actual hell makes you think Hillary fvcking Clinton has the power to do anything?

But she didn't really "communicate about how our leaders can stop violence". As if you can do that in a tweet :rip: If you feel so strongly about that, Gaga, then gather your thoughts about gun violence and express it in a productive way that can contribute to some positive change, like posting an open letter on LM.com again. Posting "#VoteHillary to make it all better" does not apply however :poot:

OMG I'm not American but here's my opinion: **** off stupid monsters trying to put Gaga's opinion down just because she doesn't promote your fave Bernie Sanders! You are all being fools for judging Gaga like that. That tweet was not bad at all! And she even deleted it so you people could shut up! But guess what? You keep being butthurt about it!
