I mean, I don't disagree with her but that's in really bad taste. Yeah like i agree with what she's saying, but this is simply not the time to promote a campaign. Arguing for gun control at a time like this is picking the lowest hanging fruit. No mass shooting has been resolved by a civilian with a gun since the 70s. I'm sorry but that's a fact. Let's agree to (strongly) disagree on that one.

Lol what? It happened a couple of times last year alone. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-uber-driver-shoots-gunman-met-0420-20150419-story.html http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Man-Shot-in-the-Chest-Inside-West-Philly-Barbershop-297176271.html And it's irrelevant to my greater point anyway which is that mass shootings have gone up as gun control laws have gotten stricter. Don't you even try to get me started with the events of the past 2 years: those were very particular instances that never happened to us before in times of peace (which also explains the international outrage). On the other hand, it's like the US have a mass shooting every other month. Growing up in France, I've never been scared to go to school in my country - I'm not sure the US kids can say the same. Bloody hooker 6,445
I don't think it was tacky or in bad taste. It just wasn't the right place to say that, but I understand why she said that though. Since Hillary supports stricter gun laws, that's why she said that. She had good intentions, but it was poorly executed. But some of you guys just need to get over the fact that she plans to vote for Hillary and not Bernie. I just want this election year to be over asap. This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

They manage to have strict gun laws and gun owning, law abiding citizens and they haven't had a mass shooting in a decade or more. Meanwhile, we've had 173 since January and almost 400 last year. I'll agree on one thing though. Guns aren't the root of the issue. It's American culture that's the problem. "WE'RE NUMBER ONE! BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! YOU F*CK WITH US, WE'LL LEVEL YOUR ENTIRE COUNTRY!" We're a violent society and something has to change that. Smarter laws that at least close ridiculous loopholes and huge gaps in gun regulation would make a small, but effective tone shift. If we all learned to be a little less up-in-arms about everything then maybe one day, someday, something will change. But it starts with us and I can tell you the biggest problem in the aftermath of these attacks are the people that immediately start to defend their "right" to own a gun instead of saying "this was horrible...how can we prevent it from happening again?" And no, the usual emotional scapegoat of "we need more mental health awareness" doesn't count. 🌸Flourishing and vibrant🌼

KingRedd 3,139
I feel as though the LGBT community and GGD (mainly) should focus on being positive and uplifting in times like this. Not to seek a problem and a scapegoat to look down upon over a few tweets. Now isn't the time to put attention on celebrities. Do your own job and support the community yourself. Frankenztein 1,172
This is the first time I've been genuinely disgusted by her. I've been on board through a lot of mistakes she made or questionable things she's said and done and let it slide, but pushing a political agenda in the face of the worst shooting in US history is REVOLTING. It's worse considering the victims are LGBT and that is the last place I would think she would fail on.
Miel 15,009
Not a bad sentiment, but NOT THE RIGHT TIME. I literally do not know how she thought this was the right time. She fell flat on this one, I cannot defend her on it. 1 hour ago, Frankenztein said: This is the first time I've been genuinely disgusted by her. Iwontell 7,312
Yes, Gaga, how dare you have a political opinion and express it over a matter that's directly affect by whoever gets to occupy the White House for the next 4 years? I hope you've learned your lesson, girl: all we want form you is the impersonal, empty and convenient "My thoughts and prayers". More luck next time. ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
