I think many people were disappointed because of too much unnecessary hype, on the top of that there were rumours like the music video is going to a short film with multiple songs included like Garden of Eden and someone here even Princess Die Then the music video came out to be a dance video that she could've shot in a studio rather than in a haunted island in Mexico. It's been regularly on rotation for me for over a year. Love the funky disco production. I love the idea of dance as a form of defiance and healing in the face of romantic rejection or betrayal. But there's also a darker side to it ... I think the dancing and the defiance can be a form of self destruction. Put literally, going out to scorn a former lover and dancing for hours until your body and mind start to fall apart. Much more depth than I think people give it credit for.
