I get that Gaga has always been more of a glam rock and pop chick, but her attitude and the way she approaches performances - they couldn't be more rock. Plus, she's always been a lover of all kinds of rock music, she's a chameleon after all. I could totally see her doing some alternative rock songs someday. I do know she's heavily influenced by rock, but alternative rock? Alternative rock isn't about glam. It isn't about fashion. It isn't really about style. It's more gritty. All that we know is that she's been hanging out with people who are associated with alt rock and that she's a lover of all kinds of music. So many different genres and types of music! How is she supposed to find a coherent sound? She can't have gritty alternative rock songs on one end, and have polished disco bops on the other... Based on what RedOne said I feel like she scrapped the initial concept and is now going with an "analog, authentic" record. Which is a shame because that means that we have to wait even longer. At one end of the analog you have the polished disco, 80s style dance pop, and at the other end you have alternative rock, grunge etc. She'd have to pick one direction.
