“These are all actual quotes from discouraged Republicans,” Maddow noted at the conclusion of her bit, before joking “If you know one, be nice!”

Watch the video here:

"Imagine a moment millions years from now when the sun dims into a cinder. That's the timescale of my never"

Read them. :air:

Sounds similar to what some #LetAmericaBern supporters have said tbh :gaycat:

The only candidate that we have left that isn't either a clown or a con artist, is Bernie. With the current opposition within the DNC, I don't see him having high chances of winning the nomination. We're doomed to either face humiliation, with Trump, or another Nixon, with Hillary.

You speak with such certainty. One wonders what you are basing these assumptions about Hillary from.

From what I've read on the forums so far, few have managed to provide any meaningful evidence for anything. In fact one thing I'm fairly certain of is that many people here are treating this race as some pop star stan war, displaying the same random animosity to anyone who isn't their favorite as less0r trash or whatever.

Here: She's won a grammy

When will your fave?

Trump's campaign on the other hand is pretty much a walking disaster.

I've seen many quality posts on exactly why so many people hate Hillary's flip-floping views. I'm convinced that no evidence will be good enough for you. The only policy that Hillary has stuck by all these years is to lie to the American People.

I don't hate Bernie supporters. I dislike people who'd rather watch the country burn than lift a finger to fix it because of their disregard of anything that isn't their "fave". Can't really blame them though. Many are millenials and that's how their culture is. They are used to receiving participation awards for any contest they enter, so they feel like they're being somehow ripped off and are looking for excuses.

You aren't part of that group as far as I can tell.

You edited your post half way through my reply, so I spliced the new info in.

People have always been very passionate about politics, but you have it the wrong way around. People treat Pop stars like candidates for office, with promotion and speculation on who will be "the reigning pop king or queen".

Hillary winning a Grammy doesn't have any affect on her character or readiness to stand up for the American people.

Well here we go. Another Trump thread turned into a Hillary hate thread.

The last time Hillary posed her viewpoints before the presidential cycle was more than 7 years ago. Most people on GGD were prepubescent tweens when she had last spoke of them. So forgive me if I find it incredible that you "hate" her for something you weren't even around for to understand.

7+ years between policy changes is not "flip-flopping". That's a significant chunk of time in order to reevaluate, reasses, and reform your viewpoints.

In fact it's even more than 7 years. The "7" years number I mention is related to same-sex marriage, a viewpoint which went from civil marriage with benefits with full rights to full marriage equality. The same stance that Bernie himself had. In fact the reason he was against it wasn't because of an understandably generational viewpoint on marriage, but because he wanted it left to the states. If that isn't cold and calculating then I don't know what is.

You talk about lies?

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/hillary-clinton/

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/bernie-s/

Proportionally speaking, Bernie has LIED more often than Hillary. He has told a few more complete truths than Hillary. So they end up similarly honest. But apparently she's a liar to you but Bernie isn't.

In fact most pundits agree she's the most honest candidate in the race. What she lacks is transparency, and that's easily justified by her relative fear of the press after being literally HOUNDED by the GOP for decades, from Clinton's tenure to today.

So... save it ok? Don't even try it with me.

I love how you place destruction of American in between a vote for Hillary or Bernie when the truth is that the countries future is on the shoulders of Trump or the Dem. Nominee.. Many polls have placed Bernie as doing better than Trump in a General Election. You should be saying "Let's nominate the candidate with the best chance of Defeating Trump."

That's Bernie.

Also, marginalizing an entire generation, including me and many other supporters, on the basis that they're just disgruntled and looking for an excuse?  As an American, as a millennial working my ass off in school, politely **** off. Take your elitist attitude elsewhere.

Ok ...

1) This was a joke, although if you knew what the Grammy was for it would help frame her stance regarding human rights a bit better.

2) Hardly. They make pop stars out to be royalty without the implications of politics. This is what I said in an earlier post.

I dislike people who'd rather watch the country burn than lift a finger to fix it because of their disregard of anything that isn't their "fave". Can't really blame them though. His performance is a myth. He's been unvetted and untouched. The GOP haven't even done anything towards him yet because they want to focus on the actual threat, Hillary, for now. Even the GOP have supported Bernie. You think they do that because they like him?

Read that article. It wasn't even written by me. It was written by a Slate (one of the most credible resources) by a profound ex-hater of Clinton.

And no, I'm not degrading the entire generation. Those characteristics clearly don't apply to most. It's simply the fact that a significant proportion of them are exhibiting consistent behaviors expected from them.

It's not even my opinion. It's cognitive science. Look it up if you wish.

How is it an insult? Many of you have literally said "NEVER EVER EVER" when it comes to Hillary.

It's an insult to remark on the similarities of the responses?

The #LetAmericaBern is a double-edged pun. It refers to their desire to want to revolutionize the country through Bernie, and also has the unfortunate implication that you'd rather see the country burn than support others. Take it as you will. It's not like you haven't said it before.

So, you just said that it "Doesn't apply to most" but a "significant proportion" do behave that way. That's prejudice. If we were discussing race, that thought process would be racist. You aren't racist, but the prejudice is still present. You're degrading the entire generation.
