Diane's right though, this does not diminish their work at all, Gaga's performance owned the evening, and it all ended up working to their advantage.

I can concede that it's perhaps more "enjoyable" than TIHTY, but I do not think it is better in any way.

I really don't think that TIHTY is a great song. Gaga's vocals is the only great thing on it

This kinda made me sad. How long has it been since Gaga actually won a live announced award (as a musician)? Most of the awards she has had lately are honoring her, without competition (and she deserves them). But every time she is put to compete with her contemporaries, there's this cloud of not-being-the-popular-one that prevents her from winning. Its terrible that someone of her talent and impact has to go to these ceremonies with the mindset of practicing a "loser face"  

Anyway, she definitely stole and won that night, and brought to the table something way more important. I still think they were robbed tho

Don't even remind me of such atrocity. I bet the Academy members felt like real a**holes. Whatever, Diane is right; the song might not have won an Oscar, but it certainly won much more, as it touched many, and has drastically helped in promoting the conversation of campus rape and how to put an end to it.

The thing I'm pissed about is that Sams song, I believe it is a wonderful track. I believe it does rival Til It Happens To You, in a song to song competition, yeah. BUT

Correlate them with their respective movie and WHAT THE SHI+ does WOTW have to do with Spectre? I saw the movie, two times! But the Hunting Ground and Til It Happens To You are LITERALLY RELATED.

In an award show for movies that should not ****ing be.

Not after two superior performances on their stage to his ONE weak and weezy performance...

Gaga and Sam should be in the new continuation of season 5 and gaga should have to kill Sam . Lol . She might be practising pretending  cutting his troath then diane shows up kills him with an ax . WOTW's win is just another demonstration of old white men's tastes prevailing when it comes to the Oscars. I doubt many people are even going to remember this Bond song in the future. The fact that it not only won an Oscar, but beat out Radiohead's Spectre as the main track is honestly mind boggling.
