well the new txt comeback gonna probably flop 💀 not them switching from the gay aesthetic as soon as i started liking them.

anyways this song probably one of the best songs of the year… lowkey a vibe and they should release an english version cuz it would smash 🤭

What happened?? Do you know if this is just in our thread, or was it all over GGD?

Looks like it was site-wide, something happened with the site and it reverted to a previous backup which was a couple days ago, hence the newest posts being gone. Weird.

Well to catch everyone up:

-New Hyo mini-album is mostly old tracks

-Nobody likes the TXT comeback, Run Away remains unbothered

-New Perfume album out in late July

I’m sorry but the fact that their manager aka Seunghee from DIA was the one to prepare the bottle has me screaming :lmao:

this is really random but like i got a question for anyone who has been into kpop for a very long time. like don’t take this the wrong way.

i only really got introduced to kpop maybe 6 months ago. a friend online ik would be fetishing them and constantly posting aespa clips over and over again and that’s how i kinda discovered this whole genre. i only really became obsessed with it two months ago. but now im bored of it tbh. mainly cuz of the constant overproducing of content which is wasting my time 😭 my favs won’t stop posting content to the point where it’s getting irritating and hard to handle and keep up with everything. and also this scares me: like ill be getting older and older, and new groups will keep coming debuting people from ages 16-20 and then all the old groups just fade away. like that kinda creeps me out ig cuz it feels weird like checking out the new groups even ill be old. idk i think something wrong with my mind or something. anyways how did u guys stay invested for so long?

That's a good question, but I'm not sure I have a good answer. Most of the groups/artists I'm interested in don't put out new music really frequently. Like, Sunmi comes out with a few songs a year, Taeyeon comes out with one album (or an album's worth of singles/minis) a year... that's just a couple of examples, but I don't feel overwhelmed with new music from artists I like. So in that regard it's more like American music, where you'll get an album a year if you're lucky, but more often than not it's a slower trickle than that so you don't burn out.

It's a bummer when a group you like disbands or just quietly stops promoting, which has happened for most of my favorite groups (especially Orange Caramel and Girl's Day, but also a lot of lesser known groups like CHI CHI, TINT, Neon Punch, etc). I don't feel weird about checking out new groups, even if the members are younger than me (which they all are since I'm in my 30s lol). I only listen to the music, I don't follow them on social media or care about what they look like, so I don't feel weird about the age difference.

What groups do you follow that you think put out way too much content?

nowadays I don't watch any contents outside of live performances or high quality interviews from groups I care about unless there's a member I find super visually attractive and I use it to distract me from schoolwork :poot: and I sorta just stay invested with the constant onslaught of comebacks, and it doesn't really even matter if the music is good or not cause there's always something I can talk about to my kpop friends (and to stalk KTRL with :rip:). A lot of it's just mindless entertainment and in reality I only go back to a few good songs from a variety of kpop artists for actual musical gratification :poot: in that regard I can't really say I have faves anymore cause I just eat up anything that suits my musical or visual taste (cue me not streaming anything from loona past xx)
