andy232000 11,368
Just now, Jakob Liam Kristensen said: You think it was Bobby who convinced NFL and the recording academy to give her the gigs? No, it was Gaga's talent. And what would a lesser manager have done? Pass on the opportunities? in the case of the NFL is different because they invite the artists, but the whole Grammy and Oscars + their campaining and photoshoots is not like they invite gaga and hope she says yes. its bobby + management that contact them and ask if she can perform etc. etc. etc. her management and promotion team have been on point lately, and even if you are not happy with it, the fact is that she is everywhere and in every platform, so they undeniebly are doing the job well enough

Any of us could've figured out the wisest thing she had to do was prove her true talent to the world. No disrespect intended, but that's a stupid statement. Gaga has always displayed raw talent throughout her entire career, and the way it is presented and sold is up to her management. There are 1000 ways her transition to jazz could have gone horribly wrong.

An artist can have all the talent in the world, but they still rely on their management team to coordinate the opportunities and navigate the business side of the music world. Bobby and the new management are doing just that and they have done an excellent job in the last two years!

Guest
Stop comparing her with other commercial pop b***es! She's a true artist, a musical cameleon who doesn't give a f*** about being number one all the time!

Nicole 1,809
Bobby is incredible. She would have never been asked to sing the National Anthem had Bobby not worked amazingly to keep her name in positive light since he took over in management. Talent is always a factor in the longevity of artists, but the work management/PR do is incredibly underrated, it seems.

Do you think people who get nominated at events are simply because of their talent? If you're not managed correctly and your artistry is not sold to the right market, you can have all the talent in the world, this is of no use if people don't hear about you. And you must have noticed Gaga has been campaigning hard the past few months to get Til It Happens to You an Oscar nod. Do you think all these dinners and private performances fell off the sky? Can't you see how many incredibly talented artists never get the success they deserve, or never get recognized? Can't you see how the same movies, or the same artists, get nominations everywhere when so many others remain in the shadows? In an ideal world, talent would be enough, but unfortunately we live in a world with a strong economical reality - it's not talent that is rare and makes the difference, it's the way you manage it. Bette Davis 12,742
You can't be serious. Gaga 2013 to Gaga 2016 is one of the most amazing comebacks and transformations ever. Bobby took a popstar who was being branded as burnt out, finished, fallen, and done into one of the most anticipated and celebrated talents in the pop world. Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.
