it kind of sounds like the Bowie thing will be pre-recorded. it's all very vague.

i wonder how this affects their timeline. we knew about the pre-Grammys Intel performance, but it wasn't confirmed she was performing at the actual ceremony. now we know she had something planned.

also, it would be a disaster for her to perform a medley of one of her own songs and a Bowie song. she's honoring him. I'll be very disappointed if she throws one of her own songs in there. two separate performances or only Bowie.

She would never throw in her own songs lmao. Gaga is a class act that knows how to a tribute.

I think the first performance will be scrapped because of the fact they call this a "experimental performance" and talk about "change of direction". So I think she'll use the INTEL fashion/technology/props for this tribute.

It wouldn't be smart for her to perform new material on the Grammys, during whole promotion of TIHTY. Grammys = new single, and then Oscars = TIHTY? Nah, She most likely is about to wait out these awards show and then maybe.

This is the reason why I think the lead single might come in March after all

I said it before the news was official and I'll say it now; I don't think this was a good idea.

I'm not trying to be a downer but they didn't know each other at best. It is VERY likely that he didn't even think fondly of her.

Idk, I feel like this is kind of tacky considering someone who knew him (Like Nile) could have done the tribute. And now Gaga is possibly jeopardizing her Intel coloration.

Sorry for being a downer, it's my opinion though.

I agree in general, but why do you think it's "very" likely?

Hasn't he said less than kind words about her using the lightning bolt and not giving him credit?

We all knew David had a firey spirit, just look what he said to Coldplay :emma:

Out of all the things she has done to clean up her image, she never could have predicted this... but this might just be the best thing she could do.  A LOT of musicians and str8s will hear about this if she does a great job and it will get her acclaim from reaches that she hasn't in years.

“We had already booked Lady Gaga on this year’s show, but when David passed — almost in a single moment — we knew we had to change direction,” :rip:

This is true.

Now we only have one thing to worry about: her lacefront.

It better be on point that night!!!

She went all classic 1940s Hollywood last year. I hope this year she dresses a bit like how the Countess dressed in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Don't feel down. Of course you're entitled to share your opinion. Personally I think it is a good decision, mainly because Gaga and Bowie are both avante garde and love to push boundaries.

Have I ever been disappointed by a Gaga live performance? NO! Has Gaga ever not sung the sh1t out of a song? NO. So you know what? I'm not going to worry about what she will sing, what she will wear bla bla bla. I can't wait, but I know she is always worth the wait.

I agree 100%. Lets just enjoy the performance!
