Well, she's only saying it because, and I agree, being all dramatic about boycotting the Oscars actually gives it more credibility than it deserves. The Oscars is not the place where we need to fight for proper racial representation, there are better places for that, incl. in the actual acting business (like she says). She's dead on when she's saying that it's easy to complain about people not being nominated when you're doing jack **** to actually help actors get nomination worthy roles with your own embarrassing production company.

I agree with her that the boycott is too much but to me "there are people dying" = "people do not take me seriously"
