The Hack Harassment initiative — launched in partnership with our sister site Recode, our parent company Vox Media, and Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation — is an attempt to find solutions to internet harassment, starting with a series of hackathons through the first half of 2016. Held both online and offline, the sessions will involve members of the tech industry, the media, the nonprofit world, and academia. They’re designed to raise awareness and find potential technological solutions to harassment, which will be presented at the Code Conference that starts May 31st. For a problem that’s inspired a lot of talk and few real solutions, it’s still just talk — but its organizers promise that more change is coming.[...]"

She's been fighting for this **** since the start of her career and you think this is a "useless trend" ? gee i wonder if Gaga reads half the **** people on here post. I wonder if she feels embarrassed sometimes. Barbie elitist - Weaboo - Sissy
SissyFromSpace 20,884
Demi Lavatoe is a good example of someone who thinks their above everyone and is a trend starter when infact she isn't ****. She's the type to exploit her past issues just for attention But Gaga is just hopping on a trend? ugh. stuff like this just infuriates me Barbie elitist - Weaboo - Sissy

It is a great gesture and the fact that she is continuing to try and fight it is commendable, but when you decide to hurt yourself over something that a random person you don't even know anything about on the internet said, you don't need Gaga, Intel or w/e, you need to visit a psychologist and learn to leave your room/house once in a while. 35 minutes ago, Lance said: yeah because finding ways to prevent suicide is "stupid" and finding ways for people to open up their stories is "trendy" and "stupid" as well. I wonder if she feels embarrassed sometimes. I never implied she jumped in, I am well aware that she was in it since the very start. And I am sure that Gaga doesn't visit this place anymore, with all your hate towards any black female rappers that don't like Iggy, your shading/bullying of people that don't like Iggy/Katy/whatever and your constant hate and accusations towards specific other artists (Demi above case on point) here, must have tired her. You are literally the embodiment of who this cause is trying to fight. Girl. (where is the "bye" gif when you need it) it wasn't laaaahv
VenusBlackStar 1,301
I'm looking forward to hearing more about the developments in this. The Internet is so vast and I can't fathom technology that could seek out/stop/prevent online harassment without invading people's privacy and getting into NSA controversy territory. Guest
This is so exciting! I love the fact that Born This Way and everything it stood for wasn't just used to make people money. Gaga and everyone involved in this truly care about online security and this continuous fight for a kinder world is better than any music news, to me.
