Phoenix 17,395
but seriously . . . i can't stand when singers over-do it with showing off their vocals and it just starts sounding bad. 💎

StrawberryBlond 13,072
1:19 - 1:34 I'M DYING! Good to see someone calling out those awful runs and needlessly extending a song. Regardless of how great a singer Whitney was, that Amazing Grace performance was shockingly bad and is exactly what I'm talking about when I say that embellishing a song makes it lose all direction and emotion. It's laughable that so many people think this constitutes great singing. There was a lot of good examples of Xtina using bad technqiue but she was dragged too much. As usual, these kinds of videos usually demonise white singers and boost up the black ones, even when they can indulge in just as many bad habits, if not more. But we have this untarnished image of black artists as all being soulful and being perfect singers or something. The dragging towards black artists seemed to be more jokey whereas the jokes towards whites were more serious.
