SissyFromSpace 20,883
Nicki Minaj stepped up to bail out her brother Jelani Maraj ... after his arrest for raping a preteen. Nicki put a $100,000 bond to get Maraj out of jail Friday in Nassau County, NY. He stands accused of first degree rape and first degree s-xual conduct with a 12-year-old. http://www.tmz.com/2015/12/05/nicki-minaj-bail-brother-arrest-rape/#ixzz3tSX6ygmF Barbie elitist - Weaboo - Sissy

Haroon 49,685
If someone's been accused but not proven guilty then I don't think it's wrong for a family member to bail them out, I mean a family member's gonna obviously keep hope that it didn't actually happen so it kinda makes sense
Katharine Hepburn 4,607
How certain are we that he's guilty? If he's clearly guilty and Nicki is doing this for him I have no respect for her. xoxo Joanne

Iwontell 7,312
Well, so far it's just an accusation...let's see if there's proof and a condemnation first. Like, this situation must REALLY suck for her... it's a heinous crime, sure, but it's her brother...I mean, is she supposed to completely ignore him? What if it turns out he's innocent? Most people would do the same in her place, I guess... Besides, bailing someone does not mean they won't be punished, it only means that until there's a sentence certificating that they really did commit a crime, they won't stay in jail...after he's condemned, it's a whole different story... ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

It absolutely doesn't make sense for a legal system... Does that mean that someone else, who doesn't have a rich hip-hop/popstar as a sister should be treated differently if not proven guilty? If they don't know if he's guilty, why should they be paying 100 000$ to get him out, it makes no sense EDIT: Don't quote me, someone just explained it to me But I'm only a man and I do what I can. If they don't know if he's guilty, why should they be paying 100 000$ to get him out, it makes no sense what does her being a pop-star have to do with anything. this is how it works. you can be bailed out because you're innocent until proven guilty. you can't be charged with whatever you were accused of doing because police officers are not a judge nor a jury. obviously she's going to bail him out, he's her brother. and obviously she's going to take no time in doing so because 100K to nicki minaj is nothing. yes, for celebrities/people with family connections, it's easier to get out, but im assuming you think that he's only getting bailed out bc he's family. which isn't the case, you can be bailed out whether you're rich or not because they can't prove what you were accused of unless you go on trial. this isn't a case of nepotism, it's a case of how the law works. emma roberts is an abuser

If you have money it's easy, you get out until the court judgement, if you don't have money, you can do loans or ask for money to specific groups. We don't know if he's innocent, but he'll face no consequences, because someone in his family happens to have money... If the legal system were about actual justice, he wouldn't get a different treatment than someone without the money... But I'm only a man and I do what I can.
