Maybe im wrong though cause english is not my first language but I hope your right.Yeah - she did talk about companies such as Twitter etc but I don't think she's referring to what could be argued as "minor" incidents of hate speech (such as valid opinions just being shared in the wrong way), but flat out defamatory posts that one would definitely be held accountable had they said that in a real-life setting. Most social media rules/conditions do outline their intolerance for excessive hate that goes beyond free speech etc - but how often are policies like that implemented? Facebook in my knowledge does remove posts that go against guidelines etc, but Twitter doesn't seem to do anything from what I've seen. I dont think I need to explain what I said cause its pretty clear.That still means she wants to censor free speech.. I know why she wants to do it but its still wrong. You can block people and make your page privet and not post your personal life online if your effected by this. If we allow censorship, then everything will be s-xist, everything will be racist, and people who speak the truth that dont fit the current agenda will be censored.Europe seems to be doing fine with restricted speech and actually good human beings are not afraid to voice their thoughts. I mean, wtf? That is not freedom of speech. And the rest of the people are so wrong too, because if Gaga replied to that tweet in a angry mode, everyone (even here) would be like: "oh she is famous, she has to know that this is what happens when you are famous, just ignore it."Excuse you? So Gaga has the problem? Not the person who tweeted that? That is NOT freedom of speech. That is simply HATE. The fact that she sits back and questions how the technologies that have made her successful, and continue to do so, can be hurting people. When she spoke about the research regarding Internet use and stress it shows that she really cares about her fans and doesn't want people to be obsessed with her anymore. I think at one point she wanted people to worship her. That's why I used to hate her. The Alejandro prayer candles, the cult mentality. To be honest, that is what originally caught my attention and I have been following her ever since because it fascinated me how she captivates the world. Over the past year that has all changed. Between her relationship and album with Tony, the incredible Oscars performance, TIHTY, and now this speech. I can't but have a hardcore respect for this lady.
