i liked jim webb most tbh. seemed most realistic and also came off as a guy that could work with a republican congress to get things done because hes someone i think they'd respect. i also would trust him with foreign policy most out of everyone there (him opposing the iraq war and being a former marine).

still like bernie though but i wonder how wallsteet and the wealthy would react to his policies in order to protect their money.

^ copy/paste from my other thread.

media coverage is mostly going to hillary so yeah she won it.

Jim Webb also didn't believe in Black Lives Matter tho. He whined a ton and talked very little. He boasted about killing a man. He's a horrible candidate. He was in the wrong debate. He should of been in the Rep. debate.

talked very little because the debate seemed to focus so much on hillary and jeb. i dont even remember the black lives matter part of the debate :\. i think i left the room for that part but what exactly did he say about it?

believing in the BLM movement isnt a make or break thing for me

boasting about killing a man who tried to kill him? i'd boast about that also :deadbanana: . republicans would probably be more willing to work with that guy than bern or hillary. still liked him best

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

The question was whether they were "black lives matter" or "all lives matter". He was the only one who said all live matter, because all lives were equal. However, he failed to realize that the point of black lives matter is to recognize that all lives are NOT equal today, and that we need to change to recognize POC's struggles and fix them. He didn't even mention institutionalized racism. I think that the BLM SHOULD be a make or break thing because it's such a big issue atm. The next President should be able to work with it, not against it.

Also, the boasting is not good. It was uncomfortable and an assertion at the idea that America is obsessed with violence. Also, no. Republican Congress would never collaborate with a Dem. no matter who they are. Bernie was right, the only way change will occur is if people stand up against corruption.

well i  think they would be less likely to ever collaborate with bernie or hillary and i saw even some conservative voters say they respected webb. if anyone has a shot at collaborating with a republican congress its him and thats the biggest thing for me. who can work with the republicans most effectively and in my opinion after being around conservative websites and such its webb.

i just have a different main concern(idk what to call it i'm watching AHS rn  )

and the line from him about his time in a war just isnt a big deal to me. our actions speak far louder than words when it comes to the view of us being obsessed with violence and the last decade hasnt been good for america in that department (wars/ shootings all over the place and not just school shootings but gang shootings too)

not like he has a shot anyways :emma:

found it. not as bad as i thought it would be. w/e though

the current political system is heavily influenced by big money, regardless of party affiliation.   corruption

i know i saw it in an article somewhere a while ago but what exactly is bernie's plan to get rid of the corruption/money in politics? that was the biggest thing i was worried about before and the reason for liking bernie initially but i only remember him and hillary saying its a problem but dont remember either of their actual plan to stop the corruption

The reason to not support him is not because of the technicality, but because he's obviously not ready to address an issue that will be very important in the next few years. If we want to avoid more social unrest, the movement will have to be recognized at the federal level, not ignored. That, and the fact that he's so ready to jump to war for any reason, as demonstrated by his comments made in the debate.

Lol Hillary would say anything to get votes. She is part of the corruption. Most of her campaign money comes from big banks, big pharma, insurance companies, and big media. She accepts millions of dollars from them every year. She complains about the 1% when she's part of that 1%. She talks against TPP when questioned at the debate, but once she's off stage she tells the press that NOW she's against it, but that could change in the future (hint: Her husband makes a lot of $$$ though the partnership). Bernie, unlike Hillary, doesn't take money from corrupted industries. His plan to get money out of politics is to overturn the Citizen's United Decision by introducing a constitutional amendment and to appoint Justices who will commit to overturn the decision.
