I can barely recognize her :duck:.

No offense to Taylor or GQ but it's covers like this when you know that Photoshop is going too far.

What photoshop? That's exactly the way Taylor looks. The thing is that we're not used to seeing her with this wet hair and this s-xy outfit. I personally think she looks amazing and a little bit like Karlie Kloss. They look like twins sometimes.

Pink flamingos always fascinated me.

I'm not really feeling it as much as I thought I would be, maybe it's the angle her face is at, like an inch lower I think it'd be much better already :laughga: I prefer her sleeker looks overall so this wasn't for me from the get-go, but I can't deny that her body looks amazing :flutter: Can't wait to see the full photo spread

Oh and also, please update the thread title to "Taylor Swift™ covers GQ magazine with sultry cover" and add "Ⓒ TAS Rights Management no copyright infringement intended." at the end of your post. :fan:

I mainly mean the face and her eyes. It's not that they tried to drastically change anything, but some magazines have the tendancy to over-retouch some images in terms of shading, smoothening and digital contouring. By doing that, a face loses charm IMO.

I'm not hating on Taylor or anything, because I think she's a beautiful girl. It just frustrates me sometimes when I see retouch-artists making choices like these .

She looks normal to me though I think it's the wet hair that's throwing some people off.

It's not really the artists choice sometimes. It's usually the magazine that has the saying. Gaga admitted once that the Glamour magazine shoot in 2013 didn't look like her nor did the body and in Vogue 2012 they edited the hell out of her face.

Could be. The lighting is also a bit different than usual photoshoots, which could also have a huge impact. But judging on my own experience with retouching I'm pretty sure that her face was quite heavily retouched. I had the same complaint with Gaga's Elle photoshoot in 2013, or the Versace Campaign.

You can see it's Gaga, but there's still something off about her face.

Ah well, no matter. Taylor is a great looking girl and she doesn't need heavy retouching (if any), so if the magazine decided to retouch anything that's their loss :laughga:

I know it's not the artist themselves, but usually either the photographer or, like I said in my post, a dedicated retouch-artist

Holy hell, the PRAISE

“If you don’t take Swift seriously, you don’t take contemporary music seriously," he writes in the story's short preview. "There’s simply no antecedent for this kind of career: a cross-genre, youth-oriented, critically acclaimed colossus based entirely on the intuitive songwriting merits of a single female artist. It’s as if mid-periodGarth Brooks was also early Liz Phair, minus the hat and the swearing. As a phenomenon, it’s absolutely new.”

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
